Logitech Extreme 3D Pro-Arma 3

Just started this game to fly helicopters again. Been using the Logitech Extreme 3D since it first came out in the "Battlefield" daze many years ago. Great fun!

@@vxrok4484 hell yeah. I don’t get up to gaming much more, hard to believe that was 4 years ago. I put about 400-500 hours on arma 3 (and played a lot of other sims and games) with this joystick. A little on the cheap end quality wise, but I got mine for about 30 bucks. Absolutely worth.

I love that joy stick used it ever since Aces high 2 and it still performs amazing to this day

I remember buying this exact model of joystick for about 30 euros on a fleemarket when I was still in elemtary school! Must have been more than 10 years ago, it still works almost perfectly!

It's nice to see someone using exactly what I have. The only difference is that I was really luck to be given a TrackIr, but even so you showed me that you can do way better than I do. I'm gonna try to improve a bit. Nice video.

Nice flying but realistically as long as you find a stick that works for you, it doesn't really matter which one you use. So nice vid, and maybe I should do more Little Bird flying I guess.

There are a few videos showing how to set up this joystick. Look up "Logitech 3d extream pro Arma 3 setup". I would recommend messing around with the controls to make them meet your prefrences.

Hi, thanks for posting this. I just started flying hummingbird with this joystick and after several hours of practice, I am getting more comfortable. Question: What sensitivity settings do you use in game and how about dead space settings? I have experimented a bit and find that low sensitivity works best for me so far. I'm curious to know what others are using - Thanks again for sharing :)

It's been more than a year and maybe you are good now but I'll try to answer you. To bleed out the speed, you need to do like the other gut said. But it won't get you lose much speed. You use this technique at the end about 80~100 km/h. To lose speed at like 200 km/h, you gotta make massive turns (not realistic but it's a game) with nose still pointing up. This will let you lose the speed greatly but this needs some practice. I suggest you to go to KOTH server and watch the pro pilots move and immitate it in single play. This helped me greatly.

It's not a crosshair. Its apart of the heli mod to make shooting with the heli easier.

No caso deste vídeo não tem sentido tradição, pois ele não fala nada. :)) Se que dicas de uso de joystick vá nos videos de instrução do "Dslyecxi", clique no ícone configurações, legendas e mande traduzir automaticamente para Português. No Arma3 workshop se inscreva-se (baixa e instala automaticamente) a missão de treinamento "Hell Heli" - tem para vários mapas e permite escolher diversos helicópteros; para treinar pouso, a parte mais difícil do voo com helicópteros. Já se quer dicas para pilotar com teclado e mouse, veja os vídeos do "CallMehTOMMEH" focados no King of the Hill.

I have the older version, Logitech Attack 3 and was able to configure that with Arma 3 for Karmakut server. Try and download the Logitech driver and software first. Then go to controller and make sure Arma recognizes the the controller. Go to customize or configure and make sure all the axis’s (spelling ?!?) are working. If they are go to Menu/controls/ helicopter movement and check the key bindings. You may have to map them upon initial setup.

I use the standard control scheme, but I have a couple of the buttons on the joystick set up for looking around, center view, free look, zoom in and out. Yes, I do use the same for fixed wing. Lots of fun! Would you like me to make a video showing my control loadout?

RobinSFM thank you for replying. A video would be too much trouble, if you could maybe take screenshots and post links in the description of the video, I tried using the standard config, but for fized wings the throttle doesnt respond properly, I mean, the throttle goes to 100% when I raise it a little. Same with the heli, in the video, you were able to control the throttle perfectly using the joystick, wanted to know how you had that mapped.

has anyone else had problem with the joystick being "underpowered"? like i can bank and cycle way faster just using the keyboard the throttle also seams to top out at about 75 percent versus a full 100percent using the shit key even tho it raises way slower than a swiflt adjustble throttle toggle. is this just me or?

Make sure the joystick is properly calibrated in windows first, before assigning keys/functions in-game.

Yes! It is a great first joystick. I don't see the need to upgrade yet and I have had it for about 6 months now. Still works like a charm.

Im not a big fan of actually using the joystick as a joystick in Arma. I find it most comfortable to just use my mouse, however the 3D PRO is great as a collective lever.
