Logitech G25 / G27 Secret - How to Change Wheel Rotation from 900'- 200' or 2 settings in between...
For 7 years I did not know this function was available ..
Logitech left this outta the Instruction book...
I use this for drifting in GT6 see later in the video for me demonstrating my new found driftin skills lol..
Top marks for the wheel Logitech still works like new and has been abused by all sizes and ages and still going strong after all those 7 years of play..;O)
I built my own stand out of some wood in the garage and got some old FIA corbeau bucket seats off eBay...
Works very well and feels like a real car set up hours of fun better than any arcade machine I've ever played and no coin slot ;O)
The 4 settings are:
900' standard
630' Good for race cars like a quick rack
450' More like a Go Kart Rack and great for drifting in GT6
200' Like the old Driving Force Wireless GT force Driving Force EX
This is also possible on a Driving Force Pro Wheel the predecessor to The G25 and G27 Wheels
Helps loads with drifting in GT6
GT5 I could drift quite well on 900' rotation but it seems much harder on GT6 but this makes it fun again ;O)

Works perfect on pc games. Now instead change rotation in the profiler for different mods, I left the profiler in 900 and NOW I just use your system. Thanks a lot.

This was very useful, I found it hard to drift on 900 degrees cause the steering wheel is to small in size and take more turns then a larger wheel.I put mine on 630 degrees, didnt really like the 450. Thanks for sharing this

Took me a while to figure that out for my wheel aswell. Thrustmaster wheels its Mode+Dpad right to cycle through the presets. The light will blink 1ce, 2ce...5 times depending on what rotation you got it set and how many your wheel has got programmed into it.

It's way more practical than goint to the profiler to change that or to make a special profile for another game

@@ranpatoamami7048 yeah I had to learn to drift on 900' for GT Sport on the G29 handbrake is still needed, in the G25 I put the gearbox in sequential mode and mapped shift down to handbrake that's another thing not possible on a G29 FFS lol

Hory Sheit!! this is awesome man. With PC I use the Logitech profiler to adjust lock. But had no idea you could do this on console! I love my g25 but for drifting I always went back to controller this just made my day!! Subscribed bro. Great work and shared with all my buddies.

I wish the gear moved when i change too not 1 sec after.. GT7 will be all bout better graphics and getting it to run on the new system etc... expect more of the same with a few additions the FIA has teamed up with PD so that should be interesting... FIA Academy maybe or F1 races FIA approved ;O)

Finally i can see that you actually can drive a race car with this wheel. With The 900° it was very hard to control any sort of oversteer. I might even thinking of buying it now.

+karelpipa only works on G25/27 wheels tried it on a g29 and nothing... 600' setting is good for LMP F1 cars etc but I usually drive 900' for normal driving as you get more input.. and yes controlling oversteer's hard but Drive the car don't let the wheel drive you is my best answer to that one ;O)

cool video, i like the wooden rack...and the ashtray on it 🙂cool selfmade stuff. I'm still using the older MOMO force, the red one - not the MOMO racing force. I love this wheel. Years ago i bought 3 more, really cheap to have some spare parts. I prefer that older one because it has super oversized ball bearings, a metal tube axle and more important: hard end points. I like to drive with a lot FFB and with G25 the endpoints are too soft for my taste. I often override it in the heat of the fight, which is very bad for my driving style. If you dont use the 900 degree and the clutch very often, I recommend this wheel - if you still can find it...shouldn't be very expensive nowadays.

If you think that's bad then try drifting with a logitech driving force gt on 900 degrees of rotation. The wheel does you no favours but in a way it kinda teaches you to compensate for it.

I've since learnt to drift on 900' on a G29 on GT Sport but this trick taught me how to drift easier on GT6 on my old G25

Umm, your comment section mentions that it is also possible with the Driving Force Pro, but for the life of me I can't get it to work. Is the instructions the same as for a G25/G27 wheel? Start+Select+ ? Some seaching on the Internet, and I found the following instructions for Driving Force Pro. Select + R3 + Right Paddle Shift: 900° to 200° (and vice versa) Select + R3 + Left Paddle Shift: FFB from 60% to 100% (and vice versa) This works, and already helps a lot.

I wasn't sure if it worked the same on that wheel, seems not from what you've said, but you can still have 900/200' which is better than the options on a G29 wheel 900 or 900 on that so far lol. Skitzo Maniak stock or 6 speed you can use clutch fully custom no clutch but it's faster without the clutch anyway ;O) I always use the sequential shifter as a handbrake when drifting paddle shift for gears...

Depends on the car. some vehicles you can upgrade to a double clutch trans which does'nt use an H pattern

Yea WTF Logitech I had the wheel for a year and I didn't know about this. This is HUGE. Only thing is the Feedback gets more sensitive as the angle gets smaller so you have to adjust accordingly.

6 years till I found out hence making the vid Glad it's helped so many Fully enjoy their wheel... Since this I've learned to drift and won a drift competition ;O) Racing's still my main love but driftings good fun and a more chilled kinda challenge plus makes for some great smokey pics ... And if you love driving try a RC out technology has come a long way brushless are silly fast 200+mph and 5th scales are bout 30kg and do 50mph over any surface the full scale Short Course Trucks ( Super Stadium Trucks) are a great watch too 2 wheel cornering and Jumps crashes galore..

I have a G27 bought in 2013 and I'm doing the exact same thing as you are and only when I press the square button the wheel moves likes 2cm but doesn't change rotation angle, it is always set to 900° no matter what button I choose, either the circle, the X or the triangle - can somebody help me please? Yeah I made it myself with a few bits of wood lying in the garage and some bolts from local hardware store... Bucket seats came off ebay out of an old car... Total cost bout £50.. It was built as a prototype as all the ones you could buy were silly money and give you a metal bar inbetween your legs which gets in the way of using the pedals...Idea was to then do it in metal after getting it right, but it worked so just kept it as is... I need to make the pedal box upside down and mounting adjustable for different size players It works well is very stable and everything is bolted down via mounting points Think of a foldable table upside down with 2 legs cut off and a platform fixed to the 2 remaining legs... ;O)

Try it it works 100% on a consle like PS3 it's the only way to do it when not on a PC using the profiler, doesn't work with the new G29 either seems they wrote it out the firmware ...

yes any time after calibration in game main menu xmb anywhere... hold all three buttons at once for which ever rotation you want ;O) If you unplug the wheel goes back to normal 900' or both buttons and X..

I have thrustmaster universal challenge 5 in 1 and the wheel rotation is 270 degrees. When I went to some site there writes that the wheel rotation of my wheel is 610 degrees. How is it possible?

How far does the wheel on yours turn? 270'? I don't have a wheel like that never owned one Bungee chord feedback isn't feedback it's a bungee chord lol Get yourself a G25/27 if you want options on rotation like this or a T500rs wheel they are the only ones it's possible with 270' is enough for drifting in GT6 or driving in general 900'/1080' is more precise but harder to get lock to lock so slows you down... ;O)

I have the G25 not the G27 so I have a selectable Sequential box... thew G27 is only 6 speed H pattern.. I also have the Nixim brake and clutch dual rate springs mod for the pedals which helps find the biting point on clutch... Sometimes it will miss a gear because the micro switch ain't been pressed but usually it's because you did it out of sequence... Unlike a real car the gears don't crunch when you get it wrong they should add that for missed shifts... Then you have to put stick in neutral press clutch and select gear so double declutch to get back moving... It also stalls the engine if your in gear stopped so you gotta press clutch to start it... Overall good but not brilliant I use mine in sequential most of the time with downshift as Handbrake and push forwards as rear view.. Paddles are more consistent for lap times but driving old cars with 3 pedals and a clutch is fun and gives you more of a real driving feel Heel toe needed and left foot braking... Hope this helps you decide ;O) G29's a better buy if you don't have a G25/27 already because it will work on PS4 although updates in future may change that hopefully RCYAL8R ``o=o¬ RC Car Club

its a firmware function so can't change the buttons to do the secret settings but buttons can still be configured in game , I used shift up to do rear view shift down for handbrake, R3 L3 and direction buttons for the ra settings menu on track

I guarantee it does work on your wheel your probably not doing something right.. ;O) Are you pressing all 3 buttons at the same time?? or are you doing it then starting the game because this re powers the wheel so you'll need to press the buttons again to get the selected rotation amount ;O)

Just a pick of comments on that game don't really know much about it and my PC won't run HD vids let alone games lol so "Xirage Faith 2 months ago ( This level of graphics and sound is a disgrace to pc sims. The physics and handling is no special either. I don't get the hype, I just bough it off steam and its boring me like hell, reminds me of the similarly crappy forza 5 which nearly got me crashed off hohe acht last week, I'm a ring regular with over 130 laps mostly on CR-X and modded E92s. Nothing has happened during my gt4/5 period. Sorry, but I prefer to go back the "primeval age" again, gt and iracing for me." Think he sums it up quite nicely lol GT6 is the best console driving Game for realism graphics and physics may not be perfect Ie the sounds crap but improving all the time roll on GT7 I may get a PS4 then ;O)

4 settings only Shortest 1/4 225' 1/2 450' 3/4 675' and stock 900' or there abouts, if using on a PC you can use the logitech profiler too do any setting

You could go and buy a wheel or drive faster, I know people who are faster on a DS3 than good people on wheels get a wheel and try and beat your current times you may find there's quite a big learning curve to even match your current times... So you learn a lot more and have more feel for the car but it also makes it a lot harder at the same time Nascar on 900' steering's a nightmare much easier on 400' setting or a DS3

Which wheel you on? You need to press all three together for required steering rotation amount. I press start and select and then press the other button needed while still holding start and select down... then release all and turn wheel to find stopping point Should work then ;O) Lemme know if you have any more probs ;O)

Yeah it's a wheel function has nothing to do with the logitech driver controller program so you can leave that set right for game and adjust wheel rotation with this function ;O)

Some thrustmaster wheels like t500 has adjustable rotation but this only works on Logitech G25/G27 Driving Force Pro too but only 200' or 900' setting I think... ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00151.pdf

Not on the PS4 got a G29 for that so kinda same but much better than G25 bit better than a G27, still you can't do this trick on the G29 so may get a converter box and still use the G25 but only for drift/karting depending on how the drifting feels in GT Sport on 900' could be loads better

Rad Albano It does work 100% on a G27 try holding the red buttons and then select whichever rotation you want whilst still holding the red ones... ;O)

Press both Select and Start and one of the 4 rotation buttons X goes back to 900' You need to do it after every calibration or goes back to 900' stock ;O)

Yes it's a wheel setting change has nothing to do with the game settings.. I think the 400' settings best on Dirt3 same as the game gives you then ;O)
