Logitech G502 Lightspeed vs Razer Viper Ultimate - Awesome flagship mice!

G502 is the best premium mouse for just about anything. Its an all-rounder, Jack of all trades master of none. If you want ergonomics go for the MX, if you want purely for gaming hit up some light mouse with lots of holes in it lol. However, if you want something premium, lots of button, some RGB lighting and a great sensor? Look at the G502 lineup, you have the Hero and Lightspeed to choose from.

I currently have a Logitech G502 Lightspeed, I've had it for less than a year and I'm already experiencing double clicking issues. I just ordered the Razer Basilisk Ultimate, hopefully everything works well with that one, with no issues regarding charging.

@@mustafarajihy2425 Most likely garbage, yeah i know i'm mad right now 🤣browsing for a new mouse rn with a broken one, i have owned multiple logitech, steelseries and razer in the past 5+ years and every single one of them got major issues within a year of use, viper ultimate has the cheapest scroll wheel sensor in existence and causes it to tweak tf out and viper v2 has mouse 1 and 2 randomly clicking AND the previous issue as well "WOW HOW THEY DO THAT?" next time i will waste my money on a smaller company so atleast then i won't be surprised when it breaks on its own and who knows maybe i can actually find some quality brand. One funny thing is that over a decade old gaming mouse from logitech is still working like new and my mom uses it to this day, these failures are features not something they overlooked damn cocksucker greedy big companies.

I used the g502 for a year now for casual gaming, editing, and work and I can really recommend it because it's an great Allrounder. The best function in the Software, for me, was that you can make presets for every game or just Standard Desktop Profiles. Because of that i can switch with the f6 Button, on my g915, or the g9 Button on the mouse between my work and gaming setting with the associatet bindings for the mouse Buttons.

I have the G502 … and mainly play FPS. I came from a wired Corsair Nightsword and in hindsight I think I preferred the Corsair. Even with the weights the G502 is very light. Too light, and a smaller form factor than the Corsair was so less well fitting in my hands. Also , rarely I find myself looking at the floor in game unexpectedly , like the mouse sent a load of view change requests and got confused. I haven’t concluded whether I may have lifted the mouse slightly when moving and confused the laser or whether it’s just dodgy. I wouldn’t buy another.

The G502 is hands down one of the best mice I've ever used. The weight and thumb rest scared me at first but I find them being so handy nowadays. Even though the mouse is on the heavier side, in FPS games, I love playing on a high sensitivity with a heavier mouse. Its a perfect balance between speed and accuracy.

I'm currently using g203 which weighs 80grams, and i'm thinking to get g502, i also play on a high sens (1600dpi), so i shouldn'tt have any troubles on a heavy mouse regarding my sensitivity ? My hand is at average size, not big and not small.

@@rmet255 Are you getting the G502 or wireless G502? The wired version is a bit heavier than the wireless one. But you won't have any issues with your sensitivity other than maybe having to turn it up a bit because of the weight. That being said, the G502 is the perfect balance between weight and speed. Perfect mouse in my opinion.

I did buy G502 and its very good but .... I sold it again as i felt its too heavy for FBS Games , or long use , i did buy Logitech G Pro its 80 gm and its reasonable weight, no doubt that Logitech software if fantastic, i only missing the x and y dpi change which is exsist in Razer viper soft ware

The charging dock for the viper is hot garbage. You highlighted that its hard to plug in, and mine broke in less than 6 months

My two cents The viper software has been annoying as all hell, and I didn't know how much I relied on the dpi buttons behind scroll wheels until getting it. Its not bad, but two weeks in and I still haven't gotten used to it much.

Yeah, I don't understand it when they put DPI buttons underneath. Have you tried Hypershifting to put DPI swap on as a secondary action maybe?

How often are you guys changing your DPI? I very rarely change my DPI unless I am playing games with poor mouse support and I feel that the DPI button under the mouse was the perfect place for it. I also love Razer synapse after using G-hub.

G502 is killing my wrist for no particular reason, I've been using G402 for 5 years and it's been super comfortable. I have fairly large hands and the shape of G502 just doesn't feel right, especially the right side, where I always feel some kind of wrist strain holding it. G402 shape is natural and hand always rests using it.

@@MemeHero Indeed it's improved by the time and became comfortable. Give it time and do not force through pain. I was switching between G402 and G502 for 3-4 months and had both mice plugged in resting on XL mat. Eventually one day using G502 I realized it's actually comfortable to use and since then I have had no problems.

Viper ultimate for sure my choice. I don't like the g502 I find my fingers cramped as its too narrow for me, plus find it a bit too low where palm rests. They should have made it a little bigger but reduced weight in other ways.

I have glorous model o right now an im thinking wich one i should get im leaning towards Razer Viper Ultimate because of the better specs and because of the douple clicking but still thinking about it since the logitech mouse looks better feeling in my hand im going to test them today but based on these things wich one should i get also i dont mind the dpi button missing personaly i disaple it in every mouse i have owned since its anoying for me

You are comparing 2 completely different mice. G Pro Superlight is a flagship from Logitech comparable to Viper Ultimate, not G502.
