Actually, after using my TKL Logitech for a few years -- I do miss a full sized number pad, since I use dual use my desktop for WFH and gaming. This looks like a cool upgrade.

I've purchase many "premium" keyboards over the years, and the G915 is my favourite. The only problems I've had are a sticky key that is currently working okay, and the daily annoyance that there's no backlighting on the "secondary" key functions which are also printed in grey and are extremely difficult to read under natural subdued daylight. It's good to see that the G915X has at least addressed the backlighting (in the simplest possible way). I'm not sure why there's a separate wired model. Sure it's cheaper, but the large cost difference has got to be marketing. The bottom line - I can't justify spending over $NZ400 on a keyboard that is essentially the same as the G915. It should have many years of life left, and the best way to be "sustainable" is to keep using what you have. It looks like all I need is a new set of keycaps. Why aren't they being made available for a separate purchase.

Sticky keys and backlight for the secondary key functions have been both fixed with this updated "X" version.

Does the wired G915 keyboard have on board memory for saving whatever color scheme I layout? I ask because my G513 Carbon keyboard has no on-board memory and if i decide to zap my PC, I lose whatever layout I did with the Logitech software and I'd rather not use the software, unless absolutely necessary. Thanks in advance for answering.

It does not, however, you can backup any custom profiles in G Hub to reimport if you choose to zap your computer or move to a new one. You can also upload your profile to the cloud to be available on any computer you login to G Hub on!

Kailh choc v2 Low Profile Switches, everything that fits these switches can be installed on the G915X. On the one hand, this is good news, since the possibility of modifying the 915x will increase significantly. But for this price, there should already be a hotswap + QMK VIA

If you offer a numpad then there should be a numpad indicator too. Do you just make keyboards anot use them yourselves to know how frustrating it is to not have it?

I notice that this keyboard is missing the "MR" button that I use on my G915 to record macros on the fly. Is this possible with the G915 X? Does anyone in the universe know? I can't find this described in any of the documentation on the official site... Kind of frustrating.

Realistically, you can just set one of the given G-keys as an MR button. You'd just have to go through the effort of setting it up.

I have the g815 and was thinking about upgrading. If you have the last gen: Pros: Doubleshot design, secondary use glowing this gen, the + style keycap attachment, even more keys specifically for programming. One reason I have the g815 is cause most keyboards don't have additional programmable keys, especially more than 5. Cons: None of them have a USB passthrough on the back like the g815 does.

I also like to add. The 915x space bar is longer. The left ctrl is shorter. the left alt is further left. and the caps lock key does not have a lowered right portion to keep your A finger from hitting it.

You technically never NEEDED it. Rather, it was to to optimize your response time. Less distance = Less travel time = faster response time. Especially if there is any kind of interference

Ugh, I had some hope... I wanted to sell my old G915 that is collecting dust, but I can see the keys still wobble in the video, there is no numlock light, I'm sure if I break 2 keys again you don't have replacements, and my G915 is bowing in the center which isn't that noticeable but is still an issue.

36h are for 100% RBG brightness, 90h at 50% brightness and ~800h with RGB off. So doesn't seem too bad.

My old one lasts about a month with just under 50% brightness The brightness is Hella bright at max anyways, too bright that it's distracting

Will you be offering ANSI layout for EU customers this time? I had to import my G915 from US because every place in Europe sells ISO layout. Not even your support was able to assist me with getting ANSI version when I asked them 2 years ago so I had to get it by other means.

I cannot believe that they forgot again to make the characters readable WITHOUT backlight in the BLACK version of the keyboard. This is very embarassing! For those who dont know: You cannot read the characters, even at daylight. It is very hard to read. The white version of the keyboard does not have the problem.

Battery life is dependant on led brightness. They used worst case senario. From their website, "LIGHTSYNC RGB @100% Brightness: Up to 36 hrs continuous use LIGHTSYNC RGB @50% Brightness: Up to 90 hrs continuous use LIGHTSYNC RGB OFF: Up to 800 hrs continuous use"
