If I assign a smart action to a device, do I loose the funcionality it had before (f.e. keyboard - brightness down?

Does the wired G915 keyboard have on board memory for saving whatever color scheme I layout? I ask because my G513 Carbon keyboard has no on-board memory and if i decide to zap my PC, I lose whatever layout I did with the Logitech software and I'd rather not use the software, unless absolutely necessary. I have an issue where when I'm not in windows such as the user sign in screen to my PC or in my bios my mouse moves but the buttons don't work. This happens initially as well when windows first launches BEFORE G hub loads. Anybody know how to remedy this?

Holyyy cowww bro thank you soooo much i was sooo mad when it wasn't turning but the paddles did work but i did not plug it into my power thanks man.

My g920 is giving flashing led for 8 flashes then fast flashes when usb and power is in wall to test it. I figured ot should work but when plugged into my xbox the led flashes twice then turns off, and doesnt come on until re plugged. When in my laptop, it flashes 3 times and same thing. Any suggestions?

I bought a g700s 10 years ago, worst thing about it was the buggy and complicated software. I bought the g502hero today. Thought it cant possibly go backwards. Tried ghub. You couldn't design a worst, more complicated and buggy software even if you tried.
