Personal experience from someone who owns both keyboards, and I work in development, spending 10 hours a day on the computer. Today, I prefer Peeble. The visibility of the keys is much clearer and cleaner (the MX Keys can sometimes be a bit confusing in that regard). Additionally, the Peeble has the great advantage of being battery-powered. I don't like devices with built-in batteries because, aside from having a shorter lifespan, their efficiency worsens over time. When problems arise, it’s often easier to discard them than to repair them. With batteries, besides having greater durability, I don't have to worry about frequent recharging (I currently charge the MX Keys about once a month). In the case of Peeble, I just swap the batteries for fully charged rechargeable ones, and they last MUCH longer.

@@vishalvishwakarma3232 To be honest, I felt it a bit during the first few days, but then I got used to it. Today, both my MX Keys and my Magic Keyboard (Mac) are broken, and wow-after years (I’d stashed the Magic Keyboard in a drawer and hadn’t used it since switching from my MacBook to my Galaxy Book), I’m realizing how amazing the Magic Keyboard really is. I'm considering taking it to a repair shop and going back to using it, even though I'm now on Windows. I really wish there was something comparable to it for Windows, but I haven’t found anything.

Nicely done review. I wanted a keyboard for my Samsung tablet that I barely touched in over 2 years I've had it. Onscreen keyboard is just useless for me. So I just picked up a Pebbles 2 keyboard & mouse combo pack for $50 at Target. Love it so far & I haven't used a keyboard for over 8 years since I retired 😅! My job for 36 years was typing & I have no problem with the round keys. But I just wanted to be able to do web browsing, occasional email, & see my photos on something other than my phone (which has been my only computer). As a casual user, it's all I need. I love the compact size, the price, & the mouse works fine too.

Had the Mx Keys Mini. Really liked it, but found it very pricey, and it is on the heavier side. The heaviness is quite nice if you want something sturdy, but not great if you're traveling constantly. Also, the pebble 2 has batteries, which sounds like a drawback, but seeing how batteries degrade overtime, I think it's an advantage. Getting my Pebble 2 today, hoping to be happy with it.

@@vishalvishwakarma3232 Square keys are better, at least to me. I got the Pebble Keys 2, and, while nice, you can see the price difference with the MX Key Mini. It's more plasticky, and you feel less confident while typing. If you need a keyboard for continuous, regular use, get the MX Keys Mini. If you want something to use every now and then, the pebble does the trick.

I like the pebble keyboard but since it has round keys, I'm not sure if I'll like it as I've been typing on my inbuilt keyboard. My main purpose is to know if there's any issue when shifting to rounded built keys from square keys regardless of brand.

Thank you for your review. I am trying for two days to find how to operate F9 key. It does not allow to save the snip. In they instructions they stated ""Does nothing or prints 'S'". I tried pressing S, and it did nothing. BTW, their chat line is useless, there is no live agent available. I hope you can answer my question.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have been using pebble keys 2 and mx mini started to call me to buy it. I was wondering if that amount of money worths for typing experience since I am very comfortable with pebble 2. It is obvious that back light and key shapes are the biggest difference. So I decided to remain on pebble 2.

@@jeromeyoung4782 yes, it is the smoothest keyboard ever I used. Before that I have used Logitech k860 and other conventional keyboards. But pebble 2 is far better than all of them when the topic is typing. I am not a game person so I don't know the performance on games.

Great video! Regarding Pebble - are the mouse and keyboard syncronized? Ie, is it enough to simply change the device on the keyboard (so the mouse change to the same device automagically)? So you don't have to click on the button that is UNDER the mouse, which disrupts the work flow for me.

if you are switching between 2 computers, you can install Options+ on both and use Flow. So when you move your cursor from one computer to the other also the KB will follow. You can also transfer files like that: just by dragging them from one computer to the other. PC to PC, PC to MAC, etc.

yes it is! . I am using the k780 24/7 hours. each day, I am programmer , and it's only an extended version of pebble, but I don't use the number section on the keyboard. I have uised it for at least 4 years.

Pebble 2 keyboards aren't that great . They easily break. myself and my 2 cousins we've purchased a brand new one (each one of us) from different vendors and some keys have miserably failed after less that 1 year of usage . So all 3 of us are back to square one trying to buy a proper keyboard and obviously avoid having the same bad experience . So is the mini any better ?

Das Tastenerlebnis ist in der Tat sehr gut. Allerdings finde ich diese intelligente Hintergrundbeleuchtung extrem nervig. Kaum hört man auf zu tippen, schaltet sie sich aus. Auch wenn die Finger auf den Tasten ruhen, schaltet sie sich aus. Näherungssensor funktioniert nur mäßig, wenn gar nicht. Es gibt keine Option, mit der man die Zeitspanne bis zum automatischen Ausschalten der Hintergrundbeleuchtgung einstellen kann. In Situationen mit wenig Licht, wo man auf Hintergrundbeleuchtung angewiesen ist, echt nervig, wenn man in einer Gedankenpause sich immer wieder neu orientieren muss, wo die Tasten sind, weil die Beleuchtung aus ist.

I have both these keyboards, the MX Keys Mini is my favourite keyboard of all time. The Pebble Keys is just junk. For the record I'm a software developer and spend 10 hours a day on the keyboard.
