I could really relate, in your original message, to your excitement in ordering one of these (not sad at all, from one geek to another, by the way!) and so could empathise with the disappointment you must have felt when it did not work!! I am still at a loss as to why Logitech themselves list this as Windows only on their website, when right below it they link to the Mac software download.... very strange and no doubt confusing to anyone else who reads it! As others mentioned, drivers for MacBook are no longer available for download. However I plugged in the USB stick to my MacBook (via an adapter) and the remote works fine in both google slides and power point.

My R400 is working well forwards and backwards on keynote. But the Start Presentation button is not working. I just receive a beep. That's it. Any hint from anyone on that?

As of today, April 24, 2023, the downloads for the software are gone. Logitech support says the software never existed, so they're not much help. Thanks for the presentation though. I oddly enough got it to work without the drivers.

Just trying to get this to work and on the Logitech website it doesn't show any Mac downloads anymore. (it shows a headline/button for "Mac 10.14" but since I'm on MacOs 12.4 Logitech's website won't show me any downloads)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting this to work... I don't know why Logitech are not supporting Mac - it's quite ridiculous since all this device does is send keystrokes! It's basically just a very small Bluetooth keyboard - with the forward and backward buttons mapped to page up and page down. Very strange that there is such a lack of Mac support!

Yeah I'm also trying to figure that out. I can start the video by pressing the forward button, and then I can pause it by pressing the back button, but I can't continue to play it from where it was paused. It simply starts playing the video from the start....?

Sorry to hear about that! I think that since I made this video there may be further issues. I have no idea why Logitech doesn’t officially support use on Macs!

It seems to be hit and miss. Just tried it on my MacBook Pro on Monterey and it worked, no pairing utility necessary.
