Thanks, this video helped me a lot. I want to get more into streaming and I got a webcam for school google meets, but it was a cheap no brand webcam that broke when I tried to change the sharpness. I'm thinking about getting this one, but the price is so expensive.

it sounds like a good semi-premium way to have a Camera feed, in particular if someone Streams or Records but isn't very tech-savvy, the features this offers could give such a person more capabilities while keeping things simple for them.

Just bought this, yes it is worth it, if you improve your lighting ie, soft lighting for your face and glasses etc and brighten up your room, footage is awesome at 60 f a sec.

God, I had a webcam back in the late 2000s and they were all hot garbage back then. It's crazy that we've got facial tracking software in basic webcams now.

if someone is looking at this camera in 2022, the fully feature software that is demo'd here is End of Lifed and the replacement apps (two for macs) have absolutely none of these features.

What about extension cords for the type C cable? Since the cable on the back of the streamcam that is proprietary is very short and lacks the ability to move it around inside your filming area. Do you have any suggestions on extension cables that will work with the Logitech Streamcam? Echo

I bought this in recent times since it was the only thing still in stock....it's a decent cam, but waaay too large and expensive for what it is. Oh, and the European version didn't come with the little tripod

It is deeply frustrating that Logitech do not support Capture on the Mac. Without Capture this camera is just a dumb lens/sensor. We cannot control zoom, colour balance, framing, exposure .... Logitech have heavily marketed this through influencers in the Apple community and at the moment it feels like a big con. Their support people now admit that "Virtual Camera feature is limited to Windows Only". With no alternative way to control the camera, this is certainly not the "designed for Apple" product which was announced by their marketing team.

The audio on this streamcam is trash and I found it hilarious that Jimmy didn't use it or mention it. When you try and use external mic to fix this, something weird happens in software output and it's even worse than streamcam mic. AND to top it off, no audio or output settings nor advance settings in the Streamcam Software. You're stuck with absolute terrible audio mic output. This is for anyone looking for the audio part of the video and not getting it. If you know how to correct this, please reply below :)

One thing I noticed in your review is that when using the Logitech StreamCam there was a quite noticeable audio delay. Like half a second between mouth movement and audio pickup. Which wasn't happening with your normal camera and mic setup. To me that seems like a pretty big con.

I just bought a Streamcam and realised when it arrived that my 2015 MacBook Pro doesn't have a USB-C port. You mentioned in the video that there are adapters for this but I'm struggling to find one that will surely work for this. Was this a useful review? I mean sure i got to find out that this camera exist, but actually knowing more about it's features? not really. Oh look that interesting image stabilisation thing, ye not gonna test that. Or you know, how the mic actually sounds like? Then type C is a problem? if they use type oh its 2020 why not C and if they use C oh ye should have included adaptor. Also the price, 170$ for a good camera with probably a decent microphone? That sounds like a good entry for streamers or yt.

Sorry, this cam is garbage. The c920 is still better, which is sad and kinda hurts to say. It is also cheaper than this cam. Who uses the webcam mic? If this cam is TRULY aimed towards streaming why have a mic on the cam? 99% of streamers/content creators have either a USB or XLR mic. Next we have the portrait mode... WHY... just why?!?! Its not needed. The face tracking uses digital zooming to track and you lose image quality. I dont know why or how anyone could ever get behind or justify buying this camera.

@@somethingelse1987 I was gonna buy it cause of its FOV, plus swivels (subjected to tripod), trackings, also for OBS. And for alt use with (IOS and PC) but too much risk now. USB C experience with Go:mixer pro, now this issues of C adapter and quality? Too much to worry about. It would've hurt had I made the purcahse. I guess owners like this are angry. Got the DJI action and already piss that won't hook up to anything for streaming like OBS unless you spend another 120USD.
