Thank you so much for making this video. My Logitech 920s camera arrived today, and trying to figure it out was maddening because Logitech's web site is so poorly designed. I finally downloaded the Logitech Capture app, but there was no documentation. I was very fortunate to find your video, and that made all the difference. I was able to set up the camera, understand the options on the app, and having you explain the need to select Capture rather than the Camera in apps like Skype was just fabulous. BTW, it's November 4, 2020, and Zoom now accepts Capture as an option. You get a solid 5 Stars, well earned for a very well-done video.

Even using a webcam directly (not a virtual cam), I find that different apps will crop differently, and/or display the lighting and colors differently from each other. The time of day and weather matter also, unless your artificial light is so powerful that it overwhelms the room's natural light conditions. I think it's best to make a habit of checking the camera and the appearance of the picture shortly before each video, meeting, stream etc. With practice it takes very little time.

Yes I found it works this way with Webex Teams. The only caveat is that I found I had to flip horizontal for some reason to get Webex to show things correctly. Try holding some text up to the camera to see what I mean. Great video and very helpfiul, thanks

I seem to have it working with ZOOM.........and with my MacBook. Select the Video Source as Logitech capture and walk thru all of the steps he outlined very nicely. My camera actually can focus more reliably in a short field of view. Love the little Zoom in feature.

Also works with Microsoft Teams (tested with version 1.3.00.13565, don't know about earlier versions). If Logi Capture doesn't show up as a device in Teams settings, just restart Teams (quit, not just minimize).

Currently I do find that Logi Capture works with Zoom, as well as in Teams. It also works with WebEx, and with Camtasia. Most virtual cameras, I have found, will not work with all 4 of those.

@@bfitlincsgym7661 Not sure I understand the question, but: In Logi Capture, I select, for example, the Logitech C920 as my Source, and I can see the C920’s video in Logi Capture. Then I go into Zoom and, in Settings>Video, from the drop-down box under Camera, I select “Logi Capture” (not the C920!) as my Camera, and then I can see the and use C920 video in Zoom. It works fine for me, in the most recent version of Zoom. It also works if I select “Logi Capture” as my camera in WebEx, or Discord. I couldn’t get it to work today in Camtasia or in Microsoft Teams. I have found with other “virtual cameras” that each has its own combination of applications that can, or cannot use it.

Logitech Capture should work in OBS. Then OBS' virtual camera should be supported by more programs. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I ran into an issue where I couldn't get Logi Capture to work with Skype. No help from forum questions with both Logitech or Skype. Ultimately I had to re-install Skype v8.59 and them re-install Logi Capture to finally get the option to choose Capture from the Skype options.

Did not realize Logi doesn't work with Z00M, which is what I am interested in this week. When you move your hands, screen changes dramatically. Could that be due to Logi Auto Brightness? I just bought a Logitech C920s Pro HD webcam and wanted to use it for Zoom - I've not used a webcam before and very new to Zoom too. At the end of your video you say Logitech doesn't support Zoom so the webcam will have to be returned. Can you please advise which webcam would be great for Zoom? Hi Susan, any webcam (including the C920s) will work with Zoom but just not with Logitech Capture so you can still use it but you won't have the extra controls. Hope that helps!

@@SocialHardware Hi thanks very much for your reply & help. When I downloaded Logitech to my laptop, it recognised it as Logitech Capture - rather than C920S Pro, don't know why? So anyway, I clicked Logitech Capture as it was the only one it seemed to recognise. I had such a lot of issues yesterday when trying out a test Zoom with the webcam and couldn't see myself when I clicked C920S as my camera. Eventually I clicked the down arrow button & saw L Capture there and clicked it - success. I could see myself which presumably means that others will see me?? Should I delete the Logitech app altogether on my laptop and start again, looking for C920S? Another, hope small possible issue is when doing an audio test, my mic is listed as C920S (not Capture) and speaker is my laptop one. Listening to the test etc, all seems 'ok & working fine'. So re audio, strange how C920S is listed and not Capture when the visual part is? As long as audio works, it's fine. Any further help re audio & visual or whether I should delete & download/start loading Logitech again, would be really appreciated, thank you, Susan

I am very new to Webcams. I was testing working with my webcam on source 1 and a KZbin screen as source 2. After I got things as I liked them, I hit record, played along with the KZbin Channel. I stopped recording and went to the recording to view and listen, what I got was more like a double playback instead of just the music and my instrument. I have the Logitech 1080P with built in mic, and a Bluetooth speaker to hear the music as I am playing. Maybe I'm trying to do something that is not possible?

Watched a few of these tutorials.is this like a severely trimmed sown version of obs studio which is what most others seem to use?? but the catch there is it doesnt save your settings,so if you close it and start another zoom/teams meeting you have to reconfigure obs. If you use this will it save the settings for zoom meetings so you dont need to tweak your settings everytime?? thanks

Great video. I love the customizations of LogiCapture, and would love to use it all the time. However, any time I've tried to record it or use it in Zoom (and record the Zoom meeting), I always get a lag between video and audio. I have a C920 and have the highest frame rate set and Full HD as well. Ideas?

Well done! Helped me a lot. Capture uses symbols and icons without text so your video has been very helpful. Can confirm that Zoom 5.2 sees Logi Capture as a source option. A Question. If I want to use two cameras (sources) with Capture, must both be Capture compatible? I just bought a 922 pro stream but I also have a c930e. If I use the 922 Pro to start the Capture software, will it recognize the c930e as a second source? Or do I need to pick up another webcam?

I just updated to the c920 from the c615 and both have controllers. I deliver presentations through zoom etc. As I understand it, the Capture software would give me even more control over the camera settings than the controller software which does a pretty good job? how do you go to control this for Google Meet. The moment I open Logitec Capture, it says that it can not find the camera(because it is used by google meet already). So to my knowledge there is no controlling the camera from Logitec Capture once you are in a google meeting. But the video description says just "YES" to Google Meet.. So how ?

That was a great, very detailed tutorial. Does the Capture app have to be open to use the Capture video source on a Video conf call? My Capture settings are already configured, do not change or require adjustments. Ideally, it’d be great if Capture ran in background (or could pipe saved settings to conf app) without requiring both Capture and conf apps being open. Thank you.

Hey thanks for the video. I just bought the c 922 webcam and using it for Zoom meetings. I use a Boya USB mic and have selected that as audio source in Zoom, though recorded video file afterwards only captured video and no audio. Is there a setting back in logitech that I can select/unselect to make sure audio source is coming from the Boya USB mic? Thanks in advance.
