Very good, to be honest, although I feel that the Logitech Z906 amplifier is very powerful for the subwoofer transducer (for music, the subwoofer has between 50% bass volume and 70%). In itself, the quality is very good in the middle of 2022 and it is worth it, failures have not been seen so far in some Logitech units. I solved the problem of heating the amplifier with a fan on the back plate of the subwoofer so that at least it does not get too hot and lasts a few more years. Without a doubt, it would be necessary for Logitech to launch a soundbar with wireless subwoofer and integrate tweeters for better clarity and so that the amplifier for the subwoofer transducer is not very powerful. How would you rate the sound quality of these speakers compared to a real good stereo set (amplifier and speakers) (for example one of the stereo systems which I saw on your channel - Marantz, Cambridge Audio, Denon and Dali, Athena, Kef, Focal or others). I know it's difficult but write how big the difference is in your opinion. I like real stereo systems (amplifier + speakers) but I am curious about your opinion.

Thanks for comment :) If you love listen pop/dance,rnb and EDM music, that Logitech have enough, you love it, because bass is a lot. Of course, if you love real music, like rock, true instrumental songs, good vocals, like Bruce Springsteen, Adele etc. That you need go for HiFi speakers, of course typical bookshelf 2-way speakers dont produce so lot bass, have can z5500 or z623, but from hifi you get a lot better sound experience of natural sound, sweet vocal and instrument reproduction. Good floorstanding speakers hive you a lot of bass, fast, real bass, not slow and blurry like PC speakers. You need listen both types - PC speakers and HiFI, than you find out which sound reproduction is closer your taste. Second hand logitech 5.1 system can get about for $150-200 and it very good price/performance, especially if you look a lot of movies(surround experience).

These are budget sets but still love this sound and I like it more than with computer speakers. But the Logitech speakers are good for games and movies ;) Greetings from Poland :)

3D mode downmixes true 5.1 down to stereo and converts it back to 5.1 . So leave it at nothing after going to 2.1, it will be the true sound as source. If the sound isnt good, the source is not configured properly.

I think, that 4.1 mode suck, because for music only 2.0 or 2.1, you dont need in rear speakers one more front sound stage, it's wrong. For surround 5.1. I think, that 4.1 are made for home party, when you need max sound level SPL, therefore they copy sound from front to rear speakers.

I have Z-5500 and I think that is "premium" speaker system. I was wrong, i bought REAL home theater equipment. Couple of JBL floor speakers and Yamaha NS-SW1000. The bass is earthquaking my house, i fucking loved it 😁 These plastic speakers are rubbish!

With Grill or without doesn't make a difference A grill is just a cover for the soft speaker cones so a child doesn't poke its fingers through and damage the cones same for anyone that likes to touch sensitive areas, however some people like it without grill because it may look better but just a fashion thing better to be safe and keep grill on but sometimes you cannot see anything move if grills are on.

Yes, I use optical toslink connection. Stock onboard sound cards mostly suck, also tv headphone/speaker analog outputs.

ArtūrsM ok thanks, I had the logitec z-5500 connected to a pc with a creative 7.1 sound card... it was very powerful but when connected to the tv or other outputs it wasn’t as powerful or clear. I was planning on getting the z906 to replace a 7.1 Samsung system which I don’t feel is powerful enough, was reading online and they say it doesn’t connect to the tv directly so was confused as I didn’t want to get an external card etc.
