Bro, ain't nothing basic about this flying, it was exceptional, really nice to watch.

Nice flying and autos👍🏻 I learned autos on my trex 470 and had a blast doing it. Inverted autos are really fun, but they can make your knees knock 😅
@GrimesRic3 жыл бұрын
thx man. not easy to auto a 470 :) i want to learn inverted autos also
@Mr450pro3 жыл бұрын
@@GrimesRic Lol. No it’s not. You have to come down faster on a 470 to keep blade speed up. The first few times I tried inverted I almost shit myself 🤣 but it’s like upright autos. Once you have done a few times it isn’t so bad and you can relax and just have fun. I have times where I only practice autos at the field, cause it’s so much fun
@GrimesRic3 жыл бұрын
@@Mr450pro in which height do you flip back to upright when you do inverted autos? i also like autorotations very much, but i only got a 600 and 700 heli to train them in real life. and i don't want to crash the helis so i have to be really careful. sometimes i also fly complete lipos only practicing autos... but when I do inverted autos i flip back to upright in a relatively high altitude so it's easier and safer.
@Mr450pro3 жыл бұрын
@@GrimesRic I do it fairly close to the ground about 3meters. because if you loose rpm in the blades, you are close to the ground and the won’t fall from a high altitude. Do you have bailout programmed ? I started wit out bailout, and then you really have to rely on sim training on hope for the best😅 but after I got bailout you can practice the flip to inverted really high up and just keep bailing out until the flip from inverted to upright is second nature and then follow through with a real auto But be careful with bailout and keep it up high. I have tried 2 times where I bailout to close to the ground and crashed. Do it up high and you can practice all you want til you feel safe to follow through. I love flying 600-700 size helis, but I’m always really scared to crash them,because they are expensive to fix after crash. That’s why I practice with my 470’s they are cheap to crash. I don’t think I would have learned autos if I only had 700 to fly,because of crash cost. But with bailout now it makes no difference you can practice safely up high🙂👍🏻 Btw I just ordered a Specter v2😛🤘🏼

Awesome setup and flying. Any reason for going with the 600SX tail boom over the 550SE boom?
@GrimesRic2 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) yeah the reason was that the 600sx boom looks better (in my opinion) because it has a wider diameter. But I already saled the heli :(
@Igobangbang2 жыл бұрын
@@GrimesRic Makes sense from a visual perspective. Did you have to modify the 550 chassis to accept the larger diameter boom? Looks great. Thanks!

Super geflogen - so weit bin ich leider noch nicht mit meinem 550SE. Darf ich fragen welche Drehzahlen und welche Heckblätter du fliegst?
@GrimesRic3 жыл бұрын
Hi Albert, vielen Dank!
@albertoswald57963 жыл бұрын
@@GrimesRic ok, ich flieg gerade das 13er mit ähnlichem Motor, glaube auch dass das 12er für mich besser wäre. Welche Lipos verwendest du? Und die Ultimate Blätter sollen ja auch super sein für low rpm, oder?
@GrimesRic3 жыл бұрын

Wow, low RPM early. My "basic" 3D is still a little more basic than yours. 😂 (I am not doing tick tocks, but can do most the rest) I hope to get my 550 and 800 (Align) out this afternoon. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to make an LZ on the snow, now.
@GrimesRic3 жыл бұрын
hey scott. Yeah i love low rpm here and there. You should try some tic tocs… it‘s fun. Wish you good flights
