I did #13 Imaginary Landscape using one color, and I think it was a disaster. I love Payne’s Gray. More to learn before attempting semi-abstract one-color watercolor again. Yours was fabulous!

I love this Lois. Lately I have felt so bogged down with drawing which I am not keen on. This is a wonderful exercise in showing how the brush can do the 'drawing' and also the amazing effects you can achieve with just one colour. Hi Lois. It's interesting that you're using Waterford paper this time. I've been experimenting with a number of different papers recently, including Milford after seeing you use it, but I've come to the conclusion that Waterford is simply the best there is, at least for the way I paint. Would be interested to hear your thoughts and comparisons with Milford

Love this, another beautiful abstract watercolor, Lois! I would really like to get my hands on one of those calligraphy brushes. They appear to have a great point similar to a sharpened pencil, if that comparison makes any sense. Can you provide a link as to where I could find something similar? Should I look for a Chinese, bamboo calligraphy brush in the description if I do a search? Thank you for providing another one of your awesome tutorials, where you explain the details so wonderfully. You've been a awesome teacher since starting your YT channel!

Thanks Mary, just search for small Chinese calligraphy brush, I just buy the cheapest and smallest I find online, the hairs on mine are about 1.5 cms/3/4" long
