Dear morgaine, I like this wintery scene. I love the close ups of the salt effect and your trees are great , I shall definitely be giving this a go. I do like Prussian blue for this night sky. Love listening to your thought processes and you are so funny sometimes, such a joy to listen to with all your tips and techniques, thank you for showing 😍

Your paintings always surprise. I used to work in a large Hampshire town called Alton. Once leaving the main road to head into the town, there was a view similar to this. Farmland, and with some ancient farm structures to the right hand side in the distance. And often in the mornings, there would be a little owl atop one of the posts. Only a few yards from the road, but most people didn't notice the sweet little thing. The only time heavy snow covered the ground whilst I was working there, I would use the train, missing that old farm completely. I reckon it was a sight worth seeing, all blanketed in snow. That was in 2000. Oh memory lane keeps springing up when paintings nudge once dormant memories. Thank you for that alone !!! The image created here is a thing of romantic beauty. Delightful to the eye for sure. Then the mind kicks in and a silly question slapped with with the obvious. "Oi, when did you ever see snow falling in earnest with the moon shining brightly". I told the mental spoil sport to shut up, but too late. Just have to blank it out once and for all. I was really drifting into a wonderful fantasy, full of romance, and sickly sweet moments (aahhhh bliss) and the dreaded common sense just had to steal that away from me. That old farm would sport deer from time to time as well. But that was when the sun was low to the south. If they didn't move, I'd never have seen them against those trees. Oh deer, I'm chatting away like we've been pals for years, hehehe. OK the sweet lady. Loved the lesson, really love the painting. Catch you next Monday. TTFN

This is gorgeous Morgaine! It makes me think of northern lights as well, so I bet it would work with a coloured background too. I'm definitely trying this one!
