Lojban is a constructed language. One of its features that really attracted me was its unambiguous parsing when written or spoken. This means that it could be used as a natural human/machine interlingua.
Part 3 goes into some of the number words and how to use them.
Errata:
7 is ze, not za.
Also, "ci mi cu xabju le kumyzda" is actually reasonable. It means "Three of us live in the apartment".

Of course there are some glaring mistakes in the titles, where I say one thing and typed another :(

@@MajenkoTechnologies Eh, it's better than saying A, typing B, thinking C, but the correct thing is D.

Nice course. Just getting back into Lojban after a couple of failed starts.

ci mi xabju actually makes perfect sense, since 'mi' is both a personal pronoun and a group pronoun for those the speaker represents.

I love the "no no no" part! 😂

(2:20) So what's the Lojban equivalent to the Swedish "lagom"? ;) It's an amount that is not too little, nor too much, but it is also not perfect nor always enough. It's an amount that is determined to feel right and fitting.

Not knowing Swedish, I can only go off your English definition. I'd probably try {mapti klani}, x1 is a fitting/appropriate/compatible type of amount. Can be shortened to {matlai}.

would "lo pamoi mlatu" also work for "the first cat"?
@RobertBaruch
@RobertBaruch 4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, the parser would treat pamoi mlatu as a tanru, so you'd get "first-type cats". Tanru are always ambiguous and it is up to context and both listener and speaker to determine what they mean. I would probably think that a "first type of cat" is a cat leader. Even though there's no such thing :)

That makes sense, perhaps proto-cats. These videos are great, I've tried to learn Lojban for a while but could never get passed the basics before getting stuck on something, and these videos are very easy to digest and informative. I hope you keep up the good work

When you say mlatu, it sounds more like /mlaːtʉ/ than /mlatu/. Because English /u/ is closer to [ʉ] than [u].

Lojban sounds may be pronounced so that they are not mistaken for other sounds. I think [ʉ] qualifies :)
