I love these because they show that while nicer gear can help and is nicer to use, it isn't required to catch fish and have fun. Folks on a tight budget or just starting out can absolutely enjoy bass fishing without spending hundreds up front.

You should build some PVC structures for the fish and drop them around the pond and build some tomatoe cage structures also for fry, bait, and whatever small fish you wanna keep. Jiggin put them in his pond and his and his bass fry and crappie fry thrived.

Awesome video! I will add I think at this point when you do these challenges that include a rod you should bump the minimum budget to $75-125. I think we all know and have seen you fish with the 25ish dollar combos now realizing they're not good at all. I also think you might find some surprising gem combos around the 50-60 range. Of course they won't compare to elite rods. Keep em coming.

I’ve literally never been able to catch one on any googan product. Idk I’ve thrown them taken it off and thrown the exact same type of lure in berkley or strike king and caught em. I would try them more but they tear pretty fast in my expierence and for the price strike king or yum is my go to. Great video as always sir

The Diawa Samurai isn't bad actually. I bought one for the wife ( she's was restarting her fishing life & didn't want to go crazy) so far so good. Got her the spinning reel combo with a MH extra fast 7" rod... She's done well with it so far...and we will probably upgrade to a bigger ,better Diawa ( she like the feel of these reels & I used Diawa for several years with no issues except user era from time to time) . Never saw the spincaster before...but I'm betting it doesn't suck. Diawa makes pretty good stuff... Especially as you work up the ladder into better reels.

Electric shad dart is that sauce. Looks just like a gill in the water. I live up north, and it’s actually the only “fluke” style bait I’ve ever caught a bass on. And only the electric shad. Never had luck on any other colors or any other brand,

You guys should check out the prices of fishing tackle in UK many anglers use poles on ponds they can range from 100 pounds to 6 thousand pounds because they are made of carbon fibre and they can be fished at 1 metre or 16 or more
