you should do a 1v1 combo building but the trick is instead of most expensive or cheapest you gotta come up with cleanest combo. best color way , most eye catching combo. including line and maybe lures too

So there's actually a reason to test the rod by smacking the back. It shows the sensitivity of it. For example, my steelhead rod is incredibly sensitive compared to the rest of my family because I did the rod wiggle thing. It's also how I choose any rods with an action below medium light. Ultralight sometimes deceive you and they're not sensitive at all, even if they are flimsy

Great video. I think norms fish takes because it's just overall bigger and longer. I think lojos fish just has a full belly. It would ultimately come down to weight but since the scale ball was dropped.....again have to go with length. Plus norms fishes mouth looks like it could almost swallow lojos. Norm has the longer bass with a bigger head, which would be an indication being bigger of the two. Lojo's bass had been eating pretty good, but if empty the belly of his bass and it would definitely be a smaller bass in comparison to Norm's bass

Testing the bend is a thing I do because the action is different between rods and series of rod if you know what you like and know how it feels you can go and look at different brands and get more that might be a little cheaper

I think honestly you should have gave an official length with the googan rod atleast and if we are going off weight I'd say you won this one LOJO! Was definitely the closest 1v1 I've seen between you guys to be able to keep your own rods at the end but you always let Norm keep his rod so nice to see something different. It’s crazy how much more expensive fly fishing gear is compared to regular fishing gear. I paid $240 8 years ago for a TFO BVK and $140 for the reel. Hell even the special line was $40. But man was fly fishing fun! Just wish it wasn’t so expensive in comparison
