LoK: Tribute for Kain

This series will always be in my heart. 13 years ago I was playing Soul Reaver 2 and became so obsessed I got the entire series, remembered every cutscene, felt every moment with this game with such intensity I did not understand why more people did not know of it. I replay this thing yearly for good times sake and I still get emotional at the end of Defiance.

The secret to the Legacy of Kain series is that no one is what they appear. Kain appears the villain, and goes to lengths to prove it yet he ends up the hero. Raziel spends all his time trying to be the hero and keeps making things worse.

Sweeet... Kain is definitely one of my favourite video game characters, if not THE favourite. He's so kickass, and his dialogue and voice acting is just spot on bro. I think BO2, albeit being the odd one out in the "feel" of the other LOK games, it revealed a lot of Kain's personality and made him all the more kickass.

They don't really change to gods. Raziel was just being melodramatic. They simply evolve over time. Kain, by the time of Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance, is THOUSANDS of years older than he was in BO and BO2, and evolving closer to the original vampires (considered a whole separate species in the Legacy of Kain storyline). The original vampires only had two large fingers and a thumb, and as vampires get older, their hands become the same way.
