Would like to see or hear if someone has flipped the micro switch so that pulling back is an upshift and pushing forward is a downshift. Like a sequential gearbox.

You keep saying with stock computer can you type the computer out of a vehicle did you take the 6R80 out of and use that computer or is it tied in with the ECU to run The motor

Hey man, hope you can get this question. I'm planing to do a column to floor swap on my ford f150 (6r80 transmission with tap shift). Thing is I wrote to lokar, and they tell me the biggest issue should be that my trany has one electrical wiring input, but the lokar has 3. That got me questioning, why if this part is made specifically for the 6r80. Can you help on where should the other 2 go? thanx man !!!

Matias, the select shift function is only 3 wire. Lokar includes 3 switches on their shifter that are all 3 wire each. The switch at the top is not needed at all. The two related direction to the shift handle at the bottom are used but only select wires. Could I potentially use this shifter on a 4R70W? The shifter assembly itself doesn't know or care what trans it's on right? I mean if I adapt my existing cable setup to this shifter it should still work? The 'S' Position would effectively become '2' correct? and in doing so Engine braking when downshifting will occur in 2 unlike a straight PRND only pattern?

in short yes, but you would not be able to use the select shift function. It is electronic not mechanical. So once you enter that mode the cable does not move at all. The lever actuates two switches that then command the coyote pcm to shift and down shift. A feature the 4r70w does not posses.

@@PowerByTheHourPerformance Thankyou, I'm using a Quick4 which has the manutronic function but it's a 4WD application and I need to be able to move the manual valve into 2 or 1 for engine braking to occur. The 6R80 shifter still has the shift postion end stop adjustment though right? It looks like everything Lokar is backordered forever now so I think I'll just modify a Falcon shifter to do the job.

yes it will work on any 6r80 transmission F150 or mustang. Controller does not matter.

Yes it will, it will work with any 6r80 transmission and is universal as far as mounting.

So i have a 2014 f150 motor with a 6r80.. and yalls gen 1 control pack... will the sport mode work on that and i be able to select shift?

Yes, with our control pack you will have select shift. You can use this shifter and others to accomplish this. There will be three wires for the select shift coming out of our body harness to wire this up.

We have not done it ourselves. As it is designed and built, it can be done. I will say that packaging in the console may be a challenge due to the size of the assembly. We may have a solution for this soon so subscribe and stay tuned.

Just installed mine. But when I pull the lever as far back as I can(sport) it will not move over to sport. Only in the drive position it will go to Manual.

Will this work for a 2011 mustang gt? If it does, will I be able to control all 6 gears or just 1,2,3 and D just like the stock shifter does? Thank you in advance

It can be used on any 6r80 but for the 2011 and 12 cars the pcm is what controls the shift pattern. So to get select shift like the 13 and 14 cars you would also need the pcm so that the strategy will turn that on.

Yes, this shifter can be adapted for use on any 6t80 transmission.

Jesse, it will not work with 10r80 acurately. The range of the positions is different between the 6r and 10r. You will need to wait till lokar updates the design for the 10r.

Hey there. Will it work on a f150 with column shifter and tap shift? (I know there will be needed to cut the floor etc) there is another video where this lever is installed on a center aftermarket console

Matias, This shifter would most likely replace your column shifting mechanism. That being said it can be used with the 6r80 transmission and select shift mode(bump shift).

2010 Expedition had a 6r80 in it, so you can use the stock shifter and cable.
