Marvel has done a piss poor job of portraying Kang as a real threat in the MCU. The way that Loki ended makes it even worse making Kang seem like a non-issue. It's almost impossible to move forward with Kang in any way that would make him seem like a cosmic threat.

If they choose to replace Kang with Doom it'd take away from the ending of Loki S2. Like his main sacrifice was in the hope that that the TVA and everyone else could stop all the Kangs war. But just because Loki is where he is doesn't mean he has the power to stop it, actually far from it. He is allowing the possibilty of it happen by holding the infinite timelines together open and free. He leaves the fight against Kangs varients too everyone else in the multiverse. So by just acting like the Kang varients just disappeared in the background really diminishes Loki's sacrifice.

And with Mobius ending the series with talking about how they stopped Kang in Antman is a good enough send off if they want to switch to someone other than Kang. There are so many Kangs, they could always revisit him much later without having to continue right now.

It’s not great that they showed all Kang’s were Majors in Quantumania. However, I think you’re right - if convicted, people would understand. There are plenty of great actors around to fill the void. Changing the actor for Dumbledore in the HP movies (albeit different circumstances) is one example. To give up on Kang now is just a waste.

I think some of his Kang’s thus far are kooky/different, but I imagine this has to do with an eye on the future - contrasting the more menacing iterations of Kang to make them seem more impactful. I honestly hope they stick with Kang, even if they have to change the actor. And like, I know that by now the image of Kang has become heavily associated with Jonathan Majors' portrayal, but if things really do end up going bad for him at the trial, I could totally see Marvel choosing someone else for the role. I mean, they've done this a couple times before, the Hulk's change from Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo being the biggest example, even though some didn't like it at the time, people eventually got used to it. Now, on that idea of shifting from Kang to Doom and using a "multiversal shenanigans" explanation to cover it up, I believe it'd feel really cheap, so I doubt they'd take that route. Kang isn't a one-off villain like Abomination or Vulture, he's an Avenger level threat, so I hope they don't just discard him, and instead actually manage to work out a way to keep him

I’ve seen multiple versions of Majors’ Kang variants and he portrayed each one believably different. They can bring doom for secret wars, but have Kang in Kang Dynasty. I think there's a big big difference between Ezra and Majors.. Ezra didn't have people invested, honestly not many knew if him before flash and most important reason; his acting, while not bad, was still ehh.. Majors has single handedly brought some joy and importance back into Marvel. Not only with his arc but his portrayal of it. His acting isn't forgettable, and quite honestly, he's still innocent.. I personally hope that they use Kang to get to Doom simular to what Loki was originally like to Thanos. That would also give them a opportunity to build both up characters before knocking them down. Imagine a story where Kang/Kang council is destroyed by Doom and Doom wins

I think it’s going to be both. Perhaps we’ll even get a “good” Kang, who decides it’s best to join the heroes in defeating Doom. Since there are so many variants of him, there must be ONE who decides to help, even if it’s for a selfish reason.

Doom would be awesome but Kang has been shaping up to be such a good villan, all behind some great Majors performances. He has such crazy range the he can convincingly play any version of himself and I'd buy it immediately. Not opposed to doom but I'd love to see what Majors would do throughout this whole Kang storyline. Really a bummer if he's out

I figured it out... Loki is a Time Stone!!! Kang is a Power Stone. Wanda is a Reality Stone. America Chavez is a Space Stone. But I'm not sure who is Mind and Soul Stones... Mind Stone probably is Professor Xavier or Tony Stark or may be Jean Grey... Sould Stone may be The Thing or another orange colored character... I'm guessing you figured the pattern...

The second half of the Finale was Loki coming to terms with the idea that he will be personally responsible for destroying or pruning timelines that threaten the multiversal Yggdrasil. If a Kang is causing incursions that will cause multiple universes to collapse... Loki can personally prune that Kang or even his entire universe if needed. The TVA seems to exist as Loki's personal guard tracking Kangs.

i think ppl keep overlooking that in the end the story it has unfolded exactly how he who remains wanted. In S1 his options were for loki or sylvie replacing him and if one of them don’t a variant of him will eventually be in charge. He only mentioned they could be in charge of the tva as a way to try and convince them or one of them to relieve HIM of the duty of being in charge

I think Kang is going to be the big bad leading up to secret wars. However, I also think Dr. Doom will be introduced to take the throne after kang is defeated. I also think by Loki creating Yggdrasil the branches that are created are going to be all the timelines that the Kangs will ultimately come from (Sort of like a time paradox). Love the channels and the theories. 😁

The only reason this would happen is because of majors trial. He was a lone bright spot, well along with a.few others, with marvel post endgame. I don’t want it to happen but I could see why they would move on. I personally think Narvel has too many threads and it’s getting really confusing and they will likely continue to a lot of their casuals but their die hards will stick around.
