0:08 Actually, Loki is getting a second season, which neither WandaVision or The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have recieved. Hyped.

Unfortunately, I would have to disagree with you about Loki being a good show. There are just too many plot holes and things that don't make sense or are never explained. For example we were told explicitly that no matter what you do you can't change a timeline in an apocalyptic event, but in episode 4 they directly contradict that when Loki and Sylvie fall in love and cause the biggest timeline branch ever. If magic doesn't work in the TVA why doesn't Loki change into his Ice Giant form? How are normal humans able to fight Loki and Sylvie, who are Asgardians, when we've seen Loki fight Thor and Captain America evenly and survived a Hulk Beating? Why does the TVA have a trial for variants if it doesn't mean anything and they will prune them anyway? There are just so many more questions I have that make the show incomprehensible to me. I will say that there was good acting, great music, and pretty visuals but that only raises this 1/10 show to a 2/10 for me. Richard E Grant's Loki raises it to a 3/10

To each their own man, for me despite a few setbacks, it was a wonderful show that enthralled me start to end. But I know how it feels to be the only one who dislikes a show that everyone loves lol, so I feel you for sure. As far as the “plot hole” you mentioned, whether or not you liked the decision, it wasn’t a plot hole, that was an intentional decision. The point was that apocalypses never had branches, but Loki and Sylvie were the first to change that because of their unexpected love for each other. I’m not saying it does or doesn’t make sense, but that was the intentional explanation on the writers part.

@@papermelon I believe that plot holes inherently lessen a story's enjoyment. I think that stories can become incredibly satisfying when they stick to its own rules. You even said that one part of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that you liked was when Zemo smashed the vials of super serum. Imagine if he took the serum and became a super soldier. It wouldn't make sense for his character. Also imagine if Loki and Sylvie didn't create a variance by falling in love, but by making sure that that ship made it off the planet. It doesn't break any of the story's rules and it can even create situations for character development. I didn't like that Loki became a good guy at the beginning of the show by watching a playback of his future. It felt cheap, unearned, and unnatural considering not two days ago he killed 80 people. But lets say that he saved all those people on the ship even if it was only for his self preservation. People would be worshiping him and thanking him. This would make him realize that he likes saving people and might start his redemption arc that actually feels earned.

@@armoredghost918 Interesting thoughts. I actually agree, I think creating an entire episode for them to take a ship off the planet, and then having them entirely fail to do so, was a stupid story decision. I think your idea would have been much better, more satisfying, and made more sense. Them falling in love to create a branch was a pretty weak excuse to break their own rules.

@@papermelon Thanks. It’s as you said, it’s strange to be in the minority with something like this. I still have so many questions that make the show very unenjoyable and unsatisfying. I would appreciate if you could explain any to see if I’m missing something that could increase my enjoyment of the show. 1) Why did Kang wipe out entire universes when he could have just wiped out anyone who might start a multiversal war? 2) when did Loki get telekinesis? 3) everything the avengers and other heroes and even the villains did in the MCU was controlled by kang and nothing was done out of their own free will? 4) Why did Sylvie change her name 5) the avengers wouldn’t have had to go back even further in time if Loki didn’t take the tesseract so why aren’t they variants also 6) why did kang make the time keepers 7) if the TVA is outside of time why doesn’t mobius remember Loki? 8) how did Sylvie know how to use the time thing to get away? How did she charge the thing? How could the TVA keep losing to a child? 9) why don’t they ever use the slow mo stick after episode 1? 10) Why did the timeline branch so much at the end before Kang was killed? 11) why didn’t kang know what would happen next? 12) how does the TVA govern all of time over millions of years? 13) why doesn’t Loki move when sif keeps kicking him in the crotch 14) why does Loki never use his illusion magic to make a fake of himself like he has a million times in the MCU? 15) if all Lokis are different why does asking one for help against another mean anything? 16) why doesn’t the TVA use the infinity stones when they travel through time? To be continued…

@@armoredghost918 Haha lots of questions. I’ll give them my best shot. 1. He couldn’t wipe out anyone who started a multiverse war, because everyone trying to do that was alternate versions of himself who were as (if not more) powerful then him. Whereas the entire timelines and branches he’d have the TVA wipe out were easy for him to control, because they didn’t have other Kangs to rival with. 2. I don’t freaking know man lol. That was weird haha. They just kind of decided when he should have random powers. 3. Technically, yes and no. It was their own decisions, but Kang stopped anyone who fell out of line. Tony stark did in fact choose to become iron man and start the avengers, but had he decided to, let’s say, become a villain instead, The TVA would have stepped in and pruned that alternate timeline. So it depends on how you see free will. For example, if you break the law by going to steal something, the police will step in and arrest you, but that doesn’t mean you’re constantly controlled by the police. You just are if you do something you shouldn’t, but on a multiversal level. 4. So that they could have Loki fall in love with her and kiss her without feeling weird about it 😂😂 5. Supposedly because it was “all as Kang (the TVA) intended it to be”. Which is kind of a cop out for the writers. But it’s also like when doctor strange said that there was only 1 out of a million outcomes where they win in infinity war. Which implies that everything happened because it was the only way they could have won. A bit of a writing shortcut haha, but it prevents the writers from having to create deep explanations for every time construct. Love it or hate it. 6. He created them as a ruse to basically make a tangible construct of leadership for the TVA. They were just robot drones, and Kang didn’t seem to want many visitors and he didn’t want to be the face/target of anything, so he made them as a portrayed leadership that allowed him to work behind the curtain. 7. The reason mobius didn’t remember Loki, is exactly because the TVA is outside of time. There is only one TVA, not multiple universal versions, which means whatever Kang decided to do would immediately alter the past and present and future of the TVA. Remember the point at which Kang said he didn’t know what was going to happen next for the first time in his life? After that moment, whatever happened would immediate take effect in the TVA as a result. Whereas if something with a variant happened on earth, it wouldn’t actually change that certain earth per say, it would rather create a new branch where that alternate earth would be different. That’s why the TVA Is different, because there aren’t alternate branches of the TVA, but instead what Kang and Sylvie did immediately altered the eternal state of the only existing TVA. Hope that makes some sense. 8. Because they want her to be compelling and independent lol. It really isn’t reasonable for a child to be capable of learning all that, but the same could be argued about how organizations like the Red Room survived unnoticed for so long with the avengers and shield around. It only makes sense to serve the purpose of the story. 9. Who knows lol. Why do storm trooper suits still do nothing to protect from wimpy gun fire? Why didn’t doctor strange just use a portal to instantly chop off Thanos’ gloved hand? Why didn’t Loki use his mind powers more than one time to move a falling building? Why does the TVA use pruning sticks instead of pruning guns? Or bows and arrows? The list for these kind of weaponry questions goes on for virtually every fictional story I can think of. 10. The timeline branches BECAUSE Kange was killed. Kang was the only being keeping all the timelines in order via the TVA. Once he was killed, all his evil variants no longer had anything to keep them and their timelines in check. Think of The Purge for example. If laws and law officers ceased to exist for a day, crime rates would explode exponentially because of the lack of organized law and consequence. Kang being killed was the multiversal equivalent of every law and officer being removed or killed from the US. absolute chaos ensues. 11. I don’t really know to be honest. I kind of see it like a pyramid: Earth and all the other planets are the bottom of the pyramid, which means that they can look up and see what’s going on and don’t have much say as to what happens above them. Higher on the pyramid is thanos, who’s seeking the power to control all the worlds and control their population. But even higher up the pyramid is the TVA, which controls and governs the actions of even the most powerful people like thanos… A place so powerful that time and power itself doesn’t threaten it. But then, at the VERY top of this pyramid, you have Kang. Kang Is the tip of the pyramid, which means there is no going up from where he is. He is omniscient, so he sees everything and how it is. He controls even the TVA, which controls everything else. Because of this, he intentionally allowed Sylvie and Loki to make it to him, primarily because he was old, tired and bored, and wanted to allow something to happen that “shouldn’t have” by allowing Loki and Sylvie to find him. I believe he didn’t know what would happen next because for the first time he put himself in jeopardy, and thus he couldn’t see how his own life would end. He couldn’t see higher than the top of the pyramid, because he is the top. 12. It’s timeless and omniscient. It just does, the same way Thanos finds some rocks that can just wipe out half of existence with a snap. Fictional things work in fictional ways. 13. I don’t think there’s much to this haha. I assume because he’s an idiot and keeps trying to talk her out of it instead and just moving. He is Loki after all lol. 14. I really don’t know haha. I wondered that a lot throughout the show, they randomly took his powers and gave him new ones sometimes, pretty odd. 15. Because all Loki’s share the same general concept of ideology. They’re all sleazy, sly and dishonest (for the most part). They all specialize in trickery. So mobius was strategizing to use a Loki to help him identify the other Varient Loki’s next moves. It didn’t prove to be very helpful, only because we later discovered that Sylvie is different from any other Loki, and doesn’t think and reason like the others. But Mobius didn’t know that. 16. I would imagine because the infinity stones are a concept fabricated inside the multiverse, meaning the laws of how they work apply only inside of time and mortality. Whereas pruning sticks are weapons created that delete variants without creating branches within other variants. If the TVA used the same weapons as the people on earth or other planets, killing them or snapping them out of existence would mess with the timeline more than pruning weapons that are created to protect and organize the timeline. The infinity stones also don’t work in the TVA, so they needed TVA made weapons that weren’t unusable in certain situations and places. Hope this helps lol.
