Kang the conqueror is the next big bad. He is a historian from the future that can time travel. Likely he is who set up the TVA to keep his timeline intact in which he wins in the future. Any offshoot would result in him losing. That is my theory.

So my wife and I had a talk about this episode after it was over. She was weirded out that Loki basically fell in love with his female self. I actually really liked it. I feel like the only person Loki could love is Loki. I was happy for the Lokis.

Long shot but i think she was arrested for having a good heart. She was playing a “save Asgard” scenario the moment she was arrested. She told the tva cops to help the variant in pain. If being a “Loki” in the sacred timeline means that it has to be a villain, an antagonist to a hero, she was on the wrong path. (She also knew she was adopted and grew healthy at the time having that information)

I would agree, except in the sacred timeline, the only reason Loki became a villain is because he was comparing himself to Thor constantly. He wasn't evil at heart or anything. It seems strange to me that Sylvie still hasn't mentioned her version of Thor, and the show seems to be trying to skew away from him completely. Loki doesn't exist as the character we know without Thor.

@@blueskybelyr I’m sure Thor would’ve treated a little sister very differently as well. So that sibling rivalry was probably nonexistent for them. Therefore she ended up a kinder, gentler Loki. And being that she’s female wouldn’t she be totally different genetically? I mean maybe Loki’s frost giant parents weren’t Sylvia since she was female. We don’t even know for sure if she’s a frost giant, only that she was adopted.

A father-daughter relationship, thor or no thor, would've just been completely different. This was just sylvie being naturally good while the god/goddess of mischief required, well... a mischievous heart. Villain loki was needed to create the avengers, etc. hero loki would've never done that.

I know EVERYONE is going to say that Loki’s feelings for Sylvie are just pure narcissism but honestly Sylvie is different enough from Loki that she is her own person. And if you needed further proof that what they feel for each other is real they almost literally broke the universe with their love. And I love that they brought back Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, I hope she gets a lot more screen time in Thor 4 because she is an incredibly underrated actress. Also I thought Richard E. Grant was going to be one of or all of the Timekeepers, but he’s not only a Loki but he’s dressed as the ORIGINAL Loki from the comics in the 60’s, also known as KING LOKI!!!!

They wouldn’t even be the same genetically if she’s a girl right? Variant doesn’t mean they’re the same in every way. She’s born a girl, she’s treated differently than Loki was bc she’s a girl. Probably had a protective big brother Thor. Possibly spoiled by Odin …who knows. So she was good hearted and Loki’s not supposed to be. She was playing with a Valkyrie doll and saving Asgard…maybe she would have in that timeline so they TVA took her.

Just the fact that she was born as the goddess of mischief proves that even biologically and genetically she may not even be the same person, let alone the fact that she lived an entirely different life from our Loki. If the universe changed the sex she was born as, there’s no saying that the universe didn’t change other things, the only thing we know for sure is that she was a child of Laufy, Laufy abandoned her as a baby, then Odin found her and adopted her.

Frankly, his attachment to Sylvie could actually help treat his narcissism. Narcissists have trouble with empathy and compassion, their mental affliction is a hindrance to these emotions. For Loki, Sylvie can sort of sneakily help develop these feeling for him. 1. He’s already primed to consider her an equal on many levels, given that she’s literally an alternate universe version of him. 2. He can actually identify with her struggles and feel compassion because she’s had it much worse than him. When he saw his alternate life in the main MCU timeline, he had to come to grips with the fact that he actually did have a loving family despite everything he’d done or thought. Those things Loki had to accept had value to him, Sylvie had all that taken from her as a child 3. All of it happening at a time when the universe is screaming in his face that he’s not the center of it all, at a time where Mobius had taken his ego down a peg and a half. He’s had to reckon with his own place in the universe and that caused him great distress, and then to find someone who never even had a place in ANY universe. He naturally develops respect for her, compassion and empathy at a time where he’s had to reinvent himself, to know himself and what he wants in life. To be loved and acknowledged is what he has always wanted and in developing empathy for Sylvie, he could show her love and acknowledgment and perhaps in turn get it back. As he put it, their interests are aligned.

But basically is a time traveller villain, so it could make sense that he has all this people working for him controlling the flow of time as he wants. Also in AntMan 2 if you watch carefully/slowly or pause as they leave the quantum realm you see the time city which is either Kangs or the TVA or both. It explains how time passes differently in the TVA.

It would make perfect sense. Also the carving of the Timekeeper head in the Sentencing Room looks more like Kang with his helmet on than the actual center Timekeeper. I feel like that was the giveaway. He's pretty egotistical, so he probably inserted little clues like that all around the place under everyone's nose. And he would have to deal with the TVA immediately if he ever wanted to do what he does. Which is travel through time freely and mess with things using his 30th century tech. They probably tried to stop him early on, and he just ended up owning all of them, and turning their home into his new Base of Operations.

Y'all are the first reactors I've seen who've paused to really consider the different types of love and connection that could exist between Loki and Sylvie and that makes me so happy. Nothing against romantic love, but considering everything at play in this show (and how much these series seem to be deep dives into the character's minds/wounds/serious need for therapy, damn), I don't think it's that Hollywood-typical. Whatever kind it is, though, a Loki that genuinely loves himself, whether internally or in another body wouldn't be "broken" in the right way to stay in the villain role the Sacred Timeline needs and that's definitely a threat.

I kept seeing people lamenting about what was going on in this series. They were bored with it. Nag nag nag. Blah blah blah. Seeing the end of this episode with Kid Loki and Classic Comic Loki, finding out the Time Keepers are robots, different time lines... It all makes sense to this comic reader now: Kang the Conqueror. And with Kang we get Immortus and Doctor Doom. I'm one happy little sucker now!!!! :D

Saw this on reddit, but it makes sense; sylvie was taken at such a young age, because she was already showing signs of being good, and loki is not meant to be good in the sacred timeline. Just like mobius said, he exists to kill and hurt people, to make others better. So any loki that becomes a "good guy" becomes a nexus event, and gets taken by the tva. That's why one of the last things mobius says to loki is that he can be whatever he wants to be, even if he wants to be good. I think mobius said this now, because his reality that the TVA is god was just shattered, and thus, his belief in the "sacred timeline" being just was also shattered. All he knows is loki has to be evil, but the TVA being a lie, proved to him that loki can be good. So I'm assuming that all the lokis he saw after he got pruned, were all lokis that decided to be "good", got captured, and pruned. Also I just remembered that when Renslayer first judged loki, she called for him to be reset, not pruned. So it makes sense that there is a difference between the two, and that being pruned doesn't necessarily kill you.

Whatever the "TVA" really is, let's not forget, magic doesn't work there, and time is all kinds of wishy-washy too lol the ability to go virtually anywhere at any time is still within the power of the people there, whether they're all unknowing Variants or not. It's still a very exceptional, powerful place that does seem to be outside of what we experience as "normal," time. The Tesseract didn't even work there, whatever is really going on behind the fake "Time-keepers," it's still quite formidable. When Sylvie asked what was her nexus event, and Ravonna says she doesn’t remember, keep that in mind toward the end of episode 6. This leads me to believe this has all happened before.

When i first heard of these Marvel shows and especially Loki, I thought "Sounds boring. Loki is not that an interesting character. Also he is dead." But I am glad to be proven wrong here. This has turned out to be maybe my favourite series of all time. Always.

So on-brand for Loki to fall in love with themself, but slightly weird that it wasn't in the usual narcissistic way......ooooooooh.....THAT'S why it created a Nexus! Loki is learning to love himself in a healthy way AND in a romantic way, instead of a Hubris way. Oof. The feels on Mobius though. Also, Seeing Old Man Loki, Kid Loki, Gator Loki, and Loki (who is worthy of the name of Thor) for the first time outside of the comics......fan squeels!

In Norse myth, Sif was Thor's wife, famous for her gorgeous (blond) hair, and Loki really did cut it off for giggles. (The Norse gods were divided into the original bunch, Aesir, gods of battle and glory and the elements and such, and the second pantheon, Vanir, who were more about fertility and harvest and the fields and what not. Sif was probably a Vanir, but info is pretty scarce on her compared to the others.) Because Sif is basically ONLY known for being Thor's wife and having awesome hair, the pantheon was pissed off and Loki was made to go and find Sif some replacement hair, which he got from some very talented dwarves who made her a wig of real spun gold, which attached itself to her head when she put it on "as if it were her own." (Loki also brought back some extra treats, one of which was Thor's hammer, which was flawed, with a handle that was too short, so Loki got it at a kind of discount, but it worked well for Thor and made him happy.) The shearing of Sif's hair is most likely supposed to represent the harvest, one of the cycles of nature, which would have been common in a lot of cultures back then that each had a story of a sky god wedding an earth goddess. This is a ramble! But I do love that they referenced it in the show for the mythology nerds.

The symbol behind the timekeepers looks like the "o" in the title card that caught Nikki's attention two episodes ago, or maybe it was last episode. I'm pretty sure that this whole thing is leading up to the new "Thanos." My theory is that Ravonna is trying to puppeteer this whole thing for Kang the Conqueror.

The pruned can't be in a free location. That would enable the pruned to use whatever was pruned in the past like Infinity Stones or the cart. That would allow them to escape causing Nexus events. There could be a pruning holding cell for the pruned. A cell so vast that all pruned variants can't escape from as its still inside the TVA. Loki's cell with Lady Sif proves the TVA can isolate an area inside the TVA that they can access at anytime. Also when you use a computer and delete a file it goes to a bin. Its still there on the computer until you hit empty the bin and warns you if you want to continue. Same for the TVA the purge stick sends you to a TVA bin inside the TVA.
