Wait a minute. I think we all know Loki is actually a Frost Giant. Only thing they look like humans because of his/her enchantments yet we didn't even see one original form Loki or Frost Giant Loki. Maybe the big bad is a evil Frost Giant Loki that wants to destroy all Asgardian looking / Adopted Loki's. He could be the new King of Frost Giants if he didn't abandoned in the first place.

everyone is impressed with kid loki but they don't seem to realize that he would've killed kid thor. not the thor who came to full adulthood. they both grew up together and all it would've taken would've been a more sinister loki not the trickster. as young thor was powerful but naive and didn't have all his powers and his magic hammer and such.

It looked like 'Old Loki' pulled up some last dregs of his magic just as he shouted "GLORIOUS PURPOSE!" and was engulfed by Alioth. I'm hoping that he pulled the same trick he used against Thanos and left an illusion of himself while turning into some inanimate object (his helmet?). It seems...unlikely...that Alioth would eat him and his clothing but leave the helmet behind.

@@werdle92 Heh, speak for yourself ^It's moments like those that give weight to the entire show. Anyone who finds them annoying and 'sappy' simply doesn't have the mindset to appreciate that, I believe - and although to each their own, I find that sad; shows don't have to be 'all action' or 'interesting all the time in X aspect' to be great. In fact, this show - alongside Wandavision and Falcon/Winter Soldier - give the characters as much, if not double the amount of depth as the movies themselves did And that's a good thing, period imo

It plays purposely awkward because both characters don't know how to express their feelings. These shows are more character driven than plot driven. In case you're wondering, the significance of the USS Eldridge was it was the ship used in the Philadelphia experiment, which, by urban Legend, supposedly managed to teleport across dimensions and had all sorts of weird crap happen on it, including crewmen fusing into the ship. Not terribly surprising that it would've been something getting pruned. Or just being unlucky enough to end up teleporting there too in a comic book universe. Also, Alioth in the comics is one of Kang's rivals who runs a "Temporal Empire," so it's possible that Kang ISN'T the villain, but he's using Loki and Sylvie to get rid of one of his rivals.

Old Loki had the death and ending Loki deserved, not thanos killing him, but by showing himself just how powerful he can be and is, by saving versions of himself that still have a chance that he couldn't have, his glorious purpose. And in his final moments, he thought of home, it wasn't in gold like we know it as, but it's how he remembers it, and it still looked perfect in detail.

In the comics, Loki does challenge Doctor Strange and become Sorcerer Supreme. He also teams up with Wanda and Strange since they’re the top magic users. He’s very powerful, Classic Loki was a glimpse into that. I’m very excited for MCU Loki to catch up to Comics Loki.

If "that person" (the variant) had children they should still exist, unless they were actually part of the nexus event themselves. Like if someone had a child with a person they weren't supposed to according to the 'Sacred Timeline'. Anyone who is either arrested or sent to the Void by the reset will be replaced by their past selves as the timeline grows to replace the area removed by the TVA. None of them would ever be aware that they were actually duplicate replacements of people who were destroyed.

@@misteryman526 Yes I guess they mean as a child, part of the Nexus event. There's some things I don't get of this workings though. This episode basically proves that resetted realities, or at least the part of them that gets enough variance basically get "pruned" like the variants themselves, right? So any people or things within this range get sent here to be eaten by the dog cloud, just like the USS Elridge and the sailors. The TVA is basically destroying the realities and not just erasing them, but sending them to a cruel death there. Or is it just stuff that gets pruned?

So the reset charges just spead across the earth erasing everything including the Avengers, and replace them with another version of them selves and a Loki that hasn't escaped????

@@mordercainear9573 Exactly that, I know the TVA lies but I still have lots of questions. So that means there has been versions of the Avengers being sent there too since they get reset. What happened to that timeline then? Does the Tony Stark and Thor that found out that Mjolnir can help power Stark's reactor end up there? The Captain America that knows Bucky is alive? (Even though this was thanks to the main timeline Avengers that had the "approval" of the TVA or whoever) innocent people who happened to be close gets sent there, like the Mongolia inhabitants? There's also Infinity stones there, like the ones in the drawer that got pruned, at the very least.

I agree with Nikki, the sacred timeline is a red herring. My prediction is that everything is Loki. The person behind the TVA is Loki. The person who created the "Sacred Timeline" is Loki. What I think happened: There was a version of Loki that, after losing so much, decided to check every timeline to see if Loki ever wins. Turns out he loses in every timeline. So that Loki created a special timeline where he wins. Then a second Loki figures things out and either kills or just attacks the first Loki. Which causes the surviving Loki to realize that the various versions of himself are his biggest threat. So he creates the TVA and goes after the other Loki.

The first MCU appearance of Thanos was in the after credit scene for Avengers. One of his generals told him that the forces he gave Loki were destroyed on Earth and the general said something like "To fight the Earth is to court death." At that point Thanos looked over his shoulder at the general and smiled. (In the comics, Thanos was in love with a version of death that looked like a beautiful woman. That was his reason for going after the Infinity Stones in the comic books. To impress her.)

The head writer for this series is also the writer for Dr Strange 2. This episode had a TON of real deeeep comic book shit in it, from the THANOS Copter (google it), Frog Thor (brother to Alligator Loki) trying to break out of a jar to reach Mjolnir, a giant helmet from Yellowjacket (the Ant-Man 1 villain), Stark/Avengers tower rebranded to QENG Tower (also from the comics), and probably a lot more that I missed. What an incredible show! If this all turns out to be just another Loki I will be disappointed. I am sure Kang will turn up at some point but no one lives in a castle at the literal end of time but Kang. It almost looked like Doomstadt though, and if they pull a left turn and make this a scheme from an alternate universe Doom I will literally lose my mind

Yeah I dont think Kang is gonna show up. Since the actor himself just posted on social media the other day he had just started reading comic books to prepare his role as Kang in Ant-Man 3. The big baddie might be a variant of Loki..but, not just any Loki. A Superior Loki who might be based on King Loki in the comics. He took the throne, killed the human race and even tried to kill Odin and Thor. He is extremely ruthless, dark and emotionally driven by his rage and anger. This Loki probably took over the TVA and recreated it into his own image so he could get rid of every Loki variants in every timeline. Just so he could be the very best.

That US NAVAL SHIP was the one used in the "Philadelphia Experiment" kudos to the writers for explaining it's disappearance as it being pulled to the void. Also that was "Frog Thor" in a jar in the ground lol As Kid Loki said, whenever a Loki tries to change (for the good) they get pruned... Now there's a theory that the other Loki who "died" in Avengers Infinity War may not have really died but used a projection like what OG Loki did. I always wondered why Loki would try to go after Thanos with just a dagger. Also OG Loki may not have died at the end by the hands of the Cloud Beast. I think he has a 50/50 chance...he was casting something when he was supposedly killed. GREAT SHOW!!

I'm going to make a horrible prediction: they're going to kill Sylvie. Because Loki is the god of mischief, not the god of contentment and happiness. I think they're going to give him a reason to return to being bitter and vindictive. Alternatively, they could have a much bigger twist: Loki lives happily ever after with Sylvie. No joke, that would blow my mind. And Steven, his first appearance was at the end of "The Avengers," where he did indeed turn to smirk at the camera... although there was a "fake" Infinity Gauntlet in the treasure room in "Thor."

Such a good episode. I agree with @metallicnole the last screen where old Loki made a replica of Asgard was amazing! He’s character development in one episode was great. He told his story of how Thanos attacked his ship and he made a copy of himself so convincing to hide behind. Again when the Lokis attacked he made another copy of himself to flee, but at the end his replica of Asgard to help distract the beast and not hide anymore shows you that Lokis can change! Perfect 10/10

I think variants taking off into new time branches, creating parallel universes in the process is the natual state of things that the TVA keeps messing with. Once the TVA is destroyed things will go back to normal and all variants live happily ever after in their individual timelines. Multiverse restored.

All the people still exist in the main timeline(sacred timeline). They only arrest the variant who caused the Nexus event. The branched timeline is then erased. its possibly just a few hours. They dont kill people. Also Thanos first appears in the end credits of the first Avengers movie. It was Thanos who sent Loki to invade Earth

Fun fact The USS Eldridge that shows up at the end is the naval ship from the famous “Philadelphia Experiment”. In the real world the story goes it was a World War II experiment into invisibility. It’s now considered a hoax but the urban legend was so strong that a sci-fi action movie was made about it in the 1980s. But within the MCU maybe it wasn’t a hoax. That would definitely be something for to create a Nexus event.
