sure but TVA time is similar to back to the future time for ex. last episode OB remembering about the aura machine in present whilst loki telling him in the past. TVA is quite fascinating. even OB had a hard time reconciling that. show have not made it clear how time works in the TVA and why its different from rest of the mcu universe.

Here's a fun fact when they were coming up with the rules for time travel in the MCU they actually talked with theoretical physicists so really this is the most realistic version of time travel that's why it's connected with the multiverse

I'm enjoying the hell out of this show. It is nice to be reminded that Loki isn't always cute and fluffy, and he does actually have seriously effective tricks up his sleeve. Sylvie is failing the Spider-Man test, but it's understandable. She just wants a life and a break. I have faith that she'll come around, but it will take some convincing. Ouroboros is fun, but he's a mystery that I hope gets solved. I have a feeling that he and Alioth have a thing or 2 in common.

I know a lot of viewers will say “Why is it such a big deal, we never met or even saw any of those universes”. But if you’ve seen either of the Spiderverse movies or even Everything, Everywhere, All At Once then you would know that their lives matter just as much as the characters in our universe. Think of it like if Miles Morales or Spider-Gwen were just erased. Or even Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men were just erased!!! So yeah, this is a very heavy loss, even worse than the Blip. Also Tom Hiddleston in that tuxedo just makes me imagine another universe where Tom became the new James Bond. And god is it great to see Loki be who and what he truly is, not a hero, not a villain, but the freaking GOD OF MISCHIEF!!!!!

Honestly this episode wasn't quite the hype episode 1 of season 2 but I found it a nice progression of the story. Loki aknowledging he doesn’t work at the TVA officially but still actively there (no longer a threat) is a nice touch. Plus who doenst love Ouroboros right?

The McDonald's experience definitely depends on where you live. Like, where they source their beef and potatoes. Also by how each country regulates food safety. As someone who has to travel a lot and eats out quite often. I would say my best McDonald's experience was on the western side of Canada, away from the French Canadians. Japan was pretty damn good as well.

The episode titles in season two referencing pop culture are a nod to the 2011-2012 Young Avengers arc in the comics where Kid Loki was an Avenger. Those books were full of 2010s pop culture references and fourth-wall breaking. In Loki: Agent Of Asgard there's a running joke that the Loki variant Ikol -- I-K-O-L -- looked like Harry Styles, for example.

MCU time travel rules are different in the TVA. O.B. remembered the conversation he was having with Loki in the past. But MCU rules say that would be a different timeline. So obvious in the TVA the past DOES affect the future. , which is Back to the Future rules. My guess is it’s because inside the TVA the ‘loom’ weaves the timelines into one.

I didn't dislike this episode, but I had a couple problems with it. First, a massive missed opportunity in the interrogation scenes for Loki to turn the tables, tricking Brad into giving up information - the same way Natasha tricked Loki way back in Avengers. That would have been both a great reference AND a sign of Loki's personal growth. The plan they did have wasn't much in the way of mischief, because all it boiled down to was Loki threatening to crush Brad, so the extra step of making him think Mobius *wasn't* in on it served no purpose. It's what writers call putting a hat on a hat. Second, all the timelines getting pruned by Dox's loyalists didn't carry a lot of emotional weight, because that's exactly what they were doing back when the TVA was operating normally. They already knew back then that they were wiping out billions of lives per timeline, so nothing has really changed on that front - and we the audience know there are just going to be even more branches anyway. For there to be actual stakes, there needed to be some character we actually cared about (like Sylvie) trapped on a timeline about to be pruned. Having all the important characters watching it safely on a monitor flattened any sense of tension for me.

Yes, this is the first episode so far where I felt the pacing was... off. Brad, who was only introduced one episode prior, and who doesnt seem to be super-intelligent, can out-talk Loki and Moebius and get under their skin so easily, and it felt like they were floundering around helpless when Brad's strategy basically was, "'Nah, I'm not telling you". And in the end it did boil down to Loki threatening to torture Brad, even if he never intended to really crush him, he did put him in the box. I wonder why the writers didn't simply have Mobius and loki take Brad somewhere outside the TVA and have Loki use his magic to read his mind... we've seen him use mindreading at least once before (during Thor Ragnarök, if I remember right). Or use an illusion of Dox? Because this way there's the uncomfortable message, "Yes, torture does work and Loki needs to be a villain again". Maybe it was meant as foreshadowing that the time portals can be used as effective prisons as well? Right now, the protagonsits don't seem to have an idea what to do next, apart from "pruning timelines is mass murder, but on the other hand if we don't we're stuck with a multitude of Kangs", the same dilemma He Who Remains had and which has no real answer, apart from "Find way to prevent evil Kangs without pruning their entire timelines" which He Who Remains had not managed in an eternity. So they're screwed.

I do think one big issue with Antman Quantumania is that a lot of people were hoping for a Kang at Full power moment, but what was revealed was an intentionally weakened Kang, for which the other Kangs ganged up and imprisoned. All done with the hopes that in his weakened form, he would be eliminated. Thus why it was so important for Quantumania Kang to get out of there, since he was vulnerable until he did. So we watched what we thought would be a big menace Kang when Marvel had no intention of giving us that Kang yet. At least, within the movie, they did make it clear how weakened this Kang was, and why. Though to a degree, I’d imagine enough people may not have remembered that detail.

27:14 I love that you said this, because it is a testament to how effective this show is at being what it is supposed to be, a show about Loki. A constant I find in the majority of first time reactions to the MCU is the not knowing what to think about Loki as a character. Is he good, is he bad, does he just need a hug? Loki the show works so well because Loki the character is so good at being very chaotic, and things with Loki aren’t always super clear right away. Not matter what else is going on, the show still reflects the main character, even when he/they are not on screen. The MCU greatest strength is its character focused storytelling. This show has stayed true to that, while still furthering the overarching narrative of the MCU, that is when the MCU is at its best. Great reaction, I always enjoy your humor and insights. Loved Nikki channeling the Ancient One when she said “it’s not all about her” when talking about Sylvie not wanting to deal with anything that is happening now that she has killed HWR.

It also helps that they have a very talented, focused , actor starring in the show . Tom has excellent manners , but I don’t think he’d be pushed into doing Loki in a way that’s not consistent with the character . I’m sure some silly ideas have been presented, that he probably nixed.

@Nikki & Steven React, Variants, while from different universes, are the same person, just a variant of that person. Variants, like the universe they inhabit, are playing out the same story, which season one confirmed with Loki and his variants as well as with He Who Remains and his. Other MCU projects confirmed this too with Now Way Home, What If?, Multiverse of Madness as well as the Spider-Verse stories. Key moments, which the MCU called absolute points and the Spider-Verse movies called Canon Events are nearly the same. I say nearly the same because variant universes being variant universes do differ from one another, some differences are slight, though others are huge--Spider-Man Variants are the best example of this as Spider isn't always Peter Parker and Peter Parker isn't always male White or American, and not all Peter Parkers have an uncle Ben. Anyway, He Who Remains is the Kang who won, and his motivations, his plan is the same as all the other Kangs just as all Peter One, Peter Two and Peter Three's were or Defender Doctor Strange and 616 Doctor Strange, and the same goes for 1610 Miles Morales and 42 Miles G. Morales--they might have different circumstances, but they are the same person at heart. The Kang we met in Quantumania was Kang early in his career. He Who Remains was Kang at the end of his career. The next one we might will likely be the one who's in his prime, and the one main one we see in future movies. Sylvie broke the Sacred Timeline, so I think she has to be the one to fix it--Brad sort of foreshadowed this too when he talked about how Lokis make problems worse, and that's exactly what a Loki variant did at the end of season one! 616 Loki has already had his redemption arc, now it's time for Sylvie to have hers. She and Loki will likely need to find a version of Kang that is similar to the one she killed and install him as an overseer, but I'm getting ahead of myself, as we haven't met Reed Richards yet, and he probably will have a role to play in this too given that Kang is...well, I'll just leave it at that.

Steven, I think the way you think about Kang is not necessarily how the MCU mean to present him. Kang is not the same physically dominant threat that Thanos is. The multiverse saga is about how EVERY Kang is awful and there’s an infinite number of him. Imagine your surrounded by a group of guys in the same gang. You beat the shit out of the first guy. And then another guy fights you. And you beat his ass. Then another guy challenges you. And you beat him. Then another guy, and another and another…. Although you ultimately defeat each guy, they all cause some kind of dramatic damage to you or your loved ones or your environment. The sheer thought of that idea is exhausting!

Something is up with OB. How does he end up being the only one who hasn't had a mind wipe in hundreds of years? Also he wrote the book on the temp-pads? so he was there at the beginning of the TVA and remembers it? also Ouroboros is a snake eating itself in perpetuity. Reminds me of "He Who Remains" vs The Council of Kangs conflict. That could be described as a snake eating itself.

Is it just me or does the TVA look very different now from what it was? I know we are seeing seemingly new rooms and locations in the TVA. However to me not only does the old judges chambers seem to be gone. The kitchen and main hallway seem to be different. Did that just happen between episode 1 and 2? It seemed like it to me. Unless it all happened between season 1 and 2.

All this Bulls--- because she wanted revenge .. everybody that sided with her in season 1. WOW, have to make better decisions. this is a horror show because it reflects real life. one person can cause untold damage by being selfish, untold numbers created and destroyed because of her and she has the nerve to blam someone else for her bad decision making.. yeah , that sounds about right.

This wasnt my favorite episode. The interrogation stuff with Brad just felt like a repeat of Mobius interrogating Loki in season 1 to me. Like telling him hes a villain, and is the cause for bad things happening and bringing up his mom. I didnt think it was bad, just didnt really do anything for me.
