My theory is that Kang and Revona have a romantic relationship and are partners. Something happens where he erases that memory from her. Creates an AI to take her place. We get a whole HER setup. With Revona living some kind of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind life at the TVA, always rekindling with Kang, and the cycle happens over and over and over.

This was a terrific episode.Frederick Douglass served as an inspiration on Victor Timely's appearance in this series.This episode's MVP was Victor Timely. I hope to see Balder the Brave in the MCU one day. It was awesome to see the old-fashioned version of the MCU intro. Miss Minutes' visual effects as a cartoon ghost were fantastic. Miss Minutes' jealousy of Ravonna was an intriguing aspect in this episode. Miss Minutes' longing for a body and love for He Who Remains was an intriguing plot twist. Miss Minutes was also disturbing when she declared her love for He Who Remains/Victor Timely.The antiquated camera images in this episode really stuck out to me. Miss Minutes knowing all of He Who Remains' secrets is a terrifying sight. It was an grim sight to see He Who Remains' lifeless body at the Citadel at the End of Time. This episode also explained Miss Minutes' origins. During this episode, I enjoyed listening to old-time music. They're Asian symbols in Victor Timely's lab; is it an allusion to Shang-Chi's rings? This episode's utilization of Loki's powers was fantastic.When Victor Timely was being pursued during the Chicago World's Fair, there was an exhibit featuring ancient Egyptian culture, which was a tribute to Rama-Tut.Kang The Conqueror first appeared in Avengers #8 in September 1963, the same month as Rama Tut. Later in the story arc "The Celestial Madonna" in Avengers comics from 1974, they were retconned to be versions of each other. In the comics, Victor Timely, an inventor and entrepreneur, was invented by Kang the Conqueror when he time-travelled to 1901. Wisconsin was founded in good time. Kang established Timely Industries, which advances technology innovation by utilizing information about the future.Miss Minutes exposing a major secret about Ravonna that would enrage her while the Citadel at the End of Time crumbles is a fantastic way to end this episode.The bootstrap paradox of Victor Timely.I liked Victor Timely's interactions with Loki, Mobius, Ravonna, Miss Minutes, and Sylvie.

I have a somewhat long and complicated theory about Victor and He Who Remains. I don't think they are the same version of Kang just at different points in life I do think they are two different versions. This goes back to some of things He Who Remains said to Loki and Sylvie. He talked about how a version of himself of himself was a scientist in the 31st century, which is Kang's backstory in the comics. And they discovered the multiverse and how to travel along it which soon leads to war. So what I wondered was if there is no multiverse anymore, cause the TVA was pruning timelines, what happens to that younger version of Kang in the 31st century, cause then he couldn't have discovered the multiverse, so wouldn't that change things? And I know he's wording saying it was a variant and not actually him points to him and Victor being the same person, but I still don't think they are. I think maybe He Who Remains didn't isolate his own timeline. I think he isolated one with a harmless version of himself, a version that if wanted to he could shape and mold into the next He Who Remains if needed. Cause in 1868 it said they were on the Sacred Timeline but in 1893 they weren't. Cause Ravonna gave young Victor that book causing the timeline to branch. I think He Who Remains was always a Variant not actually native to the Sacred Timeline. Which could be another reason he lived at the End of Time, cause him being on the timeline should have countless branches but since he was at the end of time there was nowhere for the branches to ever really grow. I hope that wasn't too confusing.

It's interesting to consider whether this variant of Kang could be 'good', in any sense. On the surface, Victor seems to be a humble enough man, but that could be nothing more than a show -- he's also demonstrated a willingness to con people, and engage in manipulation. Also, he displays a trait that we all recognize from his other variants: He hates to give up control. And yes, the proper saying is, "Out of the frying pan, into the FIRE." In general, it means to successfully escape from a bad situation, only to end up in one that's worse.

Also, while He Who Remains was offering the TVA to Loki and Sylvie, it seems that he'd instructed Miss Minutes to mould one of his variants to succeed him. Which is a roundabout way for him to retain control.

Out of the frying pan into the fire is meant to symbolize a bad situation getting worse. If you were in a frying pan big enough to contain a human, you'd be pretty effed. You'd do what you could to get out, but if you got out of the pan only to land in the fire that was heating the pan, you were now just as hot AND on fire. You went from bad to worse.
