Same. Gonna write a lot here because this episode got me in my feelings, but no rush on reading or replying to all of this, of course. I'm just awestruck. The imagery of him walking through raw space with every movement being a visible strain to pull timelines along with him, holding knots of time and wearing them as a cloak to quite literally help him shoulder more of the burden... The way he flipped that cape of timelines around with REGAL strain to sit on the throne... The way he became the king of everything like he wanted and predicted, but in a way that nobody, not even him, could ever really want OR predict. He prophesied via bravado and narcissism that his destiny was to rule. His enemies realized via combat and logic that his destiny was to lose... The whole time, it was both. He was meant to rule us all by being the heart of Yggdrasil, which is a lonely, sacrificial, and possibly infinite task. That means he "took one for the team" on the greatest level. He was destined to lose, and so he took one more loss. This, however, was the loss he was MEANT to take because it's a loss that had to happen to someone in ordefor the rest to survive. A throne that nobody who grasped the situation would ever want to sit on, much less claim. Loki is tragedy incarnate, but he turned it into a fucking win for the universe at large. He used his penchant for tragic outcomes to put himself in a position for the ultimate sacrifice play for the entire multiverse, which, in the spirit of this show, brings yet another thing full circle: remember when Loki first flexed on us here on Earth? First Avengers movie. Remember who else was in that one? Steve fucking Rogers, and he said to Tony onboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier that sometimes you gotta be the one to lay on the wire to make the sacrifice play so others can walk over it safely. That line was said among warriors assembled to battle against Loki's invasion in 2012, and here we are 11 years later with Loki putting villainy behind him and trying desperately to cut this wire just like Tony, only to realize it couldn't be cut, and then finally laying on it himself. The way he created his final crown from the same materials (black rock inlaid with gold veins) as the throne/house at the end of time that he already knew he was gonna sit on. He made damn sure everything matched and looked good haha he even had the gold from the veins near the throne completely wash over the whole thing to make it even more regal before he sat on it... A stylish showman to the end... To the end of all time. Always. 💚

Bruh.. I recently saw a fan theory and it blew my mind... They say that all this event took place outside time as the failsafe (TVA REACTOR) was destroyed by loki. They say the yggdrasil was loki the whole time right from the beginning; that is when odin taught loki and thor about yggdrasil, this version of loki was still there holding it together....and also there is another theory which states that the time stone got its colour from Loki.

I was really upset that he went from an Avengers level threat to whatever he was in season 1, but not gonna lie I am 200% happy with the way season 2 ended. Best story arc ever. He went from an being a villain that was an avengers level threat, to the Avenger of lost timelines through all of time and space. Coolest character development ever! He is quite literally a Timelord!

I was kind of having the same feeling throughout the show until the finale. Then I realized that he really was just keeping his powers on lock this whole time because he knew that if he went full tilt, then he may as well also fully commit to the full tilt and be the one to make a sacrifice play that nobody else could even make, since nobody else nearby was a god who could revive whole timelines. I was saying from the first episode of this season that "He's a god, and he wouldn't even need the suit to walk out there, so why isn't he the one walking out there?" Then, by the end of the season, he came to the same conclusion that I did. Fucking seamless writing for a previously selfish character shedding the last vestiges of his selfishness. He spends this season slowly realizing that he, as a god, could just overtake and fix most of this issue himself... but only IF he is willing to, ironically, "lay on the wire/make the sacrifice play," as his opponent Captain America said over a decade ago onboard that helicarrier to people trying to battle AGAINST Loki haha.

@@NaaniSensei Yea, but that's what they are, illusions, they aren't clones, copies or duplicates, they can't interact with anything physically and they don't hold information and memories for Loki to see....also, he can only make them where he can perceive them (Watch them, if you didn't know)....and he has to keep his magic constantly focused on keeping the branches alive, otherwise the branches die...so he can't leave the "end of time" and go somewhere, to make an illusion, that he will have to watch to keep the illusion "alive"

I already loved Loki, but this show made him my ultimate favourite MCU character. No one even comes close. His journey from Thor 1 to this finale is one of the best character development I've seen in the MCU, such an organic transition from a son and brother who just wanted to prove himself no matter the cost to a god who understands what it truly means to be king and took on the burden with a heavy heart, but also with determined purpose. His story is a Shakespearean tragedy: he fought for a throne all his life and in the end got it when he didn't ask for it. What an incredible and sorrowful journey. When Sacred Timeline Loki was killed in Infinity War, I was pissed as hell. I couldn't believe they killed him off just when he was about to leave his powerhunger behind. But if this is the end of Loki as a character, I feel content and satisfied. It hurts, oh god it hurts to see him alone at the End of Time, but the story is complete as it is. The only thing I ask for now is to see Thor and Loki reunite for one last time, for Thor to see what his brother had become and finally being able to move on. All hail Loki, Son of Frigga and the God of Stories!
