I have been in such road rage once because of some local guy driving in wrong side and taking turn blindly. Just because I was not a localite and was from other state they damaged our car and called 10-15 people.. When I tried to call 100, it was never reachable.. So had to pay them 10000 rs to get away from chaos. Unfortunately, these people ruin the reputation of this beautiful city..

Extremely common in Pune. A biker was continuously honking behind me to overtake form the left. I had no space to let him pass. When he managed and went ahead, I honked and he stopped and started abusing me and picked up a stone. I couldn't do anything. I have recorded the entire scene but can't upload as it is embarrassing. I have several videos, uploaded, where the locals start abusing and fighting even though its their mistake. I don't know how to tolerate this being a 'common man'. Most of these people are politically connected and can go to any extreme.

(I always suggest most of the people to maintain distance in between during traffic to avoid collision)

If they look like the scooty riders in the video, drive away as fast as you can. Keep an eye everywhere, they might try to follow you. Go to the nearest police station (preferably outside that area, because cops are involved in some activities with the local people so they might not help you). Tell them everything that happened so you come out clean, and pay some "fee" if required. If you can tell them the number it is even better. It will keep you out of trouble, legal as well as illegal. Go to your home or wherever you are going, and don't go back to that place for atleast a few months. Staying at the site where the accident happened can be very dangerous for you, unless the victim is severly injured (you don't want to get a hit run case). But don't get out of your car at any cost. Only come out if you think the people around you are not going to harm you. If things are beginning to get ugly, just run away. A slap on the wrist by the cops is far better than being looted and brutally beaten by people, or worst, being killed by a angry mob. If you're lucky you might get away with it after confessing it to cops.

I was driving near sinhagad village area. Narrow road. A car didnt give side and I went off road , still it scraped mine. Two goons got off and came and wanted me to come out. I stayed inside rhe car. Then immediately ten odd more guys arrived. Kept banging on the window. I stayed inside. I called the police .i am from defence force. So mercifully in fifteen minutes two local cops arrived. Though in control room four to five people sooke to me and everytime I had to narrate that i am in a car and at risk. I am 51 and yet these goons had no consideration for a defence person and someone as old as their father. Mercifully the cops came and even were partial to these guys , suggested me to pay. However I stood my ground and then said i am completelt fine to meet their sp and fight this out legally. So they convinced those goons to leave and i left pune . Its a pretty dangerous situation and anyone can be victimised

I ride bike as well as drive sometime. What I realized is 95% of the time 2 wheelers are at fault by breaking traffic norms due to their agility but four wheelers are blamed. It is really unfortunate that more than half of the population on wheels has no formal idea of traffic sense. It is common to see bikers taking over from the wrong side and meeting with mishaps. The guy in the SUVs was a decent person or he could have just rammed into that scooty and surrendered in nearest police station. And no it will not be hit and run but action in self defense.

This happened two years before. I'm from Chennai. After my marriage we lived in Pune. I don't speak marathi. When I have faced the very same situation, when an activa guy hit my car from nowhere. He littered stopped the bike and started to bang the car. I came out and tried to explain him. That it was your fault brother, in a polite way in English. After knowing that I don't speak marathi. He started to behave rash and pushed me for a fight. I somehow managed to escape the situation by some educated locals on road. Then that guy translated some statements he said after he left. Which was, SPEAK MARATHI OR GET OUT OF MY STATE. . I felt like I was in Pakistan and it totally broke my peace. This was just one of the incidents out of three. We then realised living in this city inbetween these kind of people is highly unsafe for us and our childrens to build a happy family life. Thus, we vacated Pune city the very same month and came back to Chennai

Same kind of case happend to me as well. What I did stayed cool at that time but I marked 5 people who destroyed my car and wanted to kill me. Police came but they all got free without charge but my damage already done. So After two days of preparition I took revenge on them.I took my own people and beaten up their entire family members right infront of them.Broke their bones like they did to my car.They begged for mercy but its too late. In the end targeted four house/family and justice done to 26 members. All alive but got some lessons. SO I SUGGEST IF ANY THIS KIND OF SITUATION COMES IN THEN JUST STAY COOL AND MARKED THEM WHO TRY TO HARM YOU.After all everybody had their own family.

I saw something similar, a 20 something college boy slapped an old Uncle. Probably also because that uncle spoke in Hindi. This happened in Bangalore. The uncle was not at fault, just that when he spoke in Hindi, that boy really got triggered. If you travel to a place for any work, make sure you know some locals for support in case such incidences occur. Local contacts come in handy in such situations. To this day I feel bad for that old man and wonder how he'd have felt being slapped in a public place, by someone younger than his son/daughter. Same shit happened with me driving a suv in the city became a headache Recently i met with same situation two idiots break my side mirror Knowing it's not my fault and Seeing big cars public and police think it's our fault i wanted to book a case on them But my dad said just sort it let it go they are poor minded with lack of education One thing don't know every poor is the same but at least every rich don't act the same !
