You ask about why teams don't just forfeit when they are getting stomped in Dota: I think it comes from how matchmaking doesn't have a give up feature unlike LoL. There is kind of like an understanding that you should always play until it is absolutely certain you are gonna lose. Doing otherwise is kinda disgraceful and seen as cowardly. It leads to crazy back and forth games like game 1 tho.

Tiny decided that not letting tide tp back to base is more worthwhile than rejoining his team to fight against the other team that has the tide so he did just that 1:15:09 He used the "Refraction" (the bubble shield skill) and triggered a zap from the nether ward (the green thing planted by the pugna that zap an enemy hero whenever they use a skill, dealing some dmg). Blink could only be activated when the item isn't on cd and the hero didn't take damage in the past 4 seconds. Anw his using the shield first there is a mistake almost never seen among pros. 1:25:23 actually there is a certain something going in TI9 that is the IO strat. Back then IO had a talent for the spirit balls to deal pure damage and the scepter for the spirit balls to spawn automatically so once they hit that timing (Lvl 15 - scepter on IO) the IO can melt pretty much everything including the Bristleback (Though the only team that ran that strat successfully was OG so i guess there was something with the execution too). But anyway against OG the teams either ban the IO or try to run a strat where they could pressure the IO team so hard that they hit the timing really late and the lead gets so overwhelming (maybe about 27k-30k in 40 minutes or something like that) even the IO can turn it around (the latter doesn't work most of the time, except once when team secret ran the IO strat and failed). I guess there is one thing that is so great (and also so brutal) about Dota 2 is that the developers are so god damn active they introduce new changes almost every 4 months or so and then god the game almost change entirely you don't even recognize it even though the hero looks the same.

Supports gotta tank smoke ganks, play dead lanes, pressure towers by clearing lanes asap with abilities, all to make space because really at mid game there's only some safe areas for the carry to farm and it's mostly around the off lane. When you need to play that aggresively you're bound to die a lot

Exactly one big example of this is oracle all his skills are very important for the team. Dispell,hold,heal which is very frustrating. So in order to lower his impact in clash cores must prioritize and throw pretty much most skills to him just to burst him out and turn the game around. Thats why oracle is a hard hero to play but high reward. Lol players will never understand doto if they will just play it out of the blue expect some TT from teammates if you prolly dont know how the game works. Lots of mechanics, under the table tips(turn rp,manta dodge,chain stuns(not sure abt this tho),creep equilibrium. dota is really complex but still fun to play I would say. And my regards to this is try to play dota man you will not regret it XD diff community and diff play style

@@godsoffice5714 Topson was never all that bothered, he just became less modest after TI8. Ana already worked through a lot of his issues since 2016 onwards, taking that first break from dota. You can see them just naturally doing the right things psychologically a lot of the time, like listen to the things Ceb tells the team even at Kiev Major, at TI8, etc. And N0Tail's whole philosophy is team and trust centric and those are exactly the kinds of things sports psychologists will emphasize. I'm sure she gave them more tools and helped them, but they definitely weren't in dire need of her.

Dota 2 is about playing around your hero's and team composition's power spikes, it's the reason why kills don't matter as much early game. Kills are more for delaying power spikes rather than for gold (although the exp gained from winning fights is invaluable for supports).

I just found your channel yesterday man been loving your reactions so far. Just as Notail said "Dota is a sick mental game". I've played both Dota and LoL ( peaked ranked at diamond 1) and tried most of other mobas but Dota is just by far the hardest, you almost need atleast one maybe two years to learn every mechanic of the game. There's so much to learn. It's just sad that because of this there's not much new players that are willing to learn Dota. The two time TI champion message at the beginning of the grand finals wasn't referring to OG winning it twice in a row. It was referring to "winning TI twice" since no TI champion team since OG has ever won TI again. Anyways, in this TI grand finals the two teams are basically TI winners from TI7 and TI8 respectively. So regardless of who wins this TI9, it is guaranteed that there will finally be a TI champion team that has won it twice. P.S. OG achieved something more than just breaking the TI curse since they basically defended their TI champion's title. So even if another TI team won their 2nd TI they still have to beat OG's record of winning and defending their championship.

Ceb is their motivator and main draft architect but N0tail actually does most of the in-game shot-calling in games. You just don't see it as much here because he's usually using pings and map drawings to do it but if you watch their games it's very noticeable. They however do give Jerax respect that they all listen to the rare time that he actually makes a call. They've been hurting a lot since he retired. His game sense is what held them together in-game. 1:03:17 damn, should've listened to Coach RMN and banned Void. I didn't realize he called that. 1:20:20 Kuroky is a legend from the Dota1 scene. NoTail was more of a HoN Player (Heroes of Newerth). I don't know if he started in Dota1. 1:32:24 Io's level 15 talent - adds +75 hero damage....in addition to that; they make sure to get Aghanims Scepter which auto-regenerates the balls for Io. They try to get all this around the 15minute mark and basically snowball after that. 1:35:00 Diffusal Gyro.... normally with Gyro you want to get a farming item like maelstrom (procs a chain lightning ability on attack). Topson has said that he never consulted the team...he just did it as a spur of the moment decision, lol...however, Topson probably considered a couple things; 1) Io just hit level 15 w/ scepter so they are at their peak dmg output and team fight ability 2) Bristleback needs mana to be useful. 3) Gyro doesn't really need to farm anymore since they will most likely team fight more and push for the win.

In dota you usually jump to support first especially in late game, because they squishy and offer a lot of utility in team fight. Meanwhile cores in late game are hard to burst from 100 to 0. It would need 5 player coordination or the fight can be turned back. Cores usually has big survability in late game

One meepo is considered as one unit and there are five clone of meepo's, each unit requires a special key for them life for eg if set my keys for unit one as "1" second unit "2" third one as "3" etc., So w33 is controlling those five meepo's separately and brood mother's spider's are considered as one unit even if spider's number's are 20, so if w33 can control 5 unit's simotenously then obviously he can play brood Mother which needs only two keys to control her.

In this case, though, you could say that it's not needed to emphasize it as much, because they know each other since the dawn of Dota. explanation for mid melee heroes is that there is creep aggro, where you auto attack/right click on the enemy hero(don't need to actually hit them) and creeps would try to attack you so you can pull the creeps back to farm safer.

There is a thing called the spectre effect, no matter what state the game is your win chance increases the longer the game goes on if you have a spectre. It's a race against the clock before she solos your team. Carry heroes aren't glass cannons. They are the opposite, they are the insurance policy the goal of positions 2-5 is to make space for 1. Medusa, Juggernaut, Spectre, Alchemist, Anti-Mage, Terrorblade, Slark ,Sven. Can wipe a team by themselves EASILY, but they need gold and levels

Nah bro its up to your skill. Even support hero can carry the game if you have what it takes. Its up to your item build too. In league one hero can kill all the 5 heros but in dota its don't even comes close to that.

Its not that they were less prepared now, Its more like in the previous TI they havent being playing together a lot, so they needed more information. But in this one if you look at the first minutes theres a reunion when they have the papers and stuff, but since they had more chances to play together now and had that year quite a few matches with liquid, It was match up that they knew a little more, rather than with PSG.LGD, they dindt get to play that much with chinese teams; which tend to have a sore of different strategy when aproaching dota, each region tends to have a little bit of different styles of playing or strategies.
