To me, still by far the best entry in the franchise by a long shot. The amount of content they put in, of amazing moments, of fanservice, the fun battle system, the emotion, it's all there

Not to mention the story hadn't gone to crap yet. To be clear, I don't find the overall KH plot confusing, I just think it's stupid. I think it is fanfiction level bad writing to be honest (and there is no such thing as good fanfiction). It should have ended with this game. There were zero loose ends in the KH franchise at the moment of the credits rolling for KH2 making it the perfect stopping point.

@@cozykomorebi7184 Not to my knowledge. I believe Jiminy is considered as a narrator of the journal and Sora was talking about those who will stop the organization. I think he was talking about Roxas because it fits the narrative of Sora’s personality and emotions merging with him considering the other scenes before this point (with Sora crying because Roxas was leaving his friends etc).

@@Working_Dreamer At this point in the story it would make more sense if he said "With the 6-- I mean 5 of us" rather than "with the 5-- I mean 6 of us" if he was referring to Roxas, but in the tower Sora has no clue who Roxas is or that he exists in the first place. A correction is a very conscious act. Sora would never correct himself to be "more wrong" in reference to knowledge he doesn't know about. On top of this, Donald and Goofy would have corrected him going "Who is this mysterious 6th person you're referring to" if he was referencing anyone other than Jiminy. Occam's Razor would imply he is talking about Jiminy, and he corrects himself to include Jiminy so he doesn't feel like he's leaving him out since he is technically part of the team. Overall, I think the line was made to joke about how Jiminy is easily forgotten about.

Yay!! KH 2 was my first KH game, which means yeah, the first character I ever played as was Roxas. I absolutely adored the opening, and I was so confused and slightly upset when I started to play as Sora. To me, he seemed like the guy who just took Roxas from me. It took til the end of the game for me to fully understand what happened and start liking Sora. Of course, 15 years later, I love Sora like a best friend, but Roxas will always be my favorite character.

Kingdom hearts perfectly encapsulates what kids love like we all had a moment in our childhoods where we would make story's of characters from other games, shows or even books meet eachother and we'd even make our own "original ocs" but this game turns that idea to 100% but in the most coolest badass way possible

Way back in the day there was this webcomic I used to check out about a guy named Whit who interviewed various video game characters. One of the characters he interviewed was Ansem and he commented on how remarkably similar to the word "Handsome" the name sounds and wondered if it was possible that this was intentional, that Ansem was so vain that he liked to imagine everyone calling him "Handsome" all the time... Loved watching you love the FF characters, and puzzle over the bits about Roxas and Axel, Diz and Ansem, Ansem and Xehanort, and Xemnas's "friends". This game confused me the most out of these games. I was so lost, like Sora. Lol You seem less confused than I was at the time though, that's good. The world of KH expanded a lot in this one, and still plays the player's heartstrings like a violin.
