I bought mine a few weeks ago from Spotlight (Australia). I love it!, it crushes my Gemini on almost everything, but especially for noise and efficiency cutting intricate dies. The Switch is sooo quiet. Kudos to Sizzix for creating imo, the best electronic die cutting machine on the market today. Thanks for your review 🌸🌸

I have now purchased a regular Big Shot so i will have both. Your video has made me very excited to get the Switch but i have to be patient because i know how popular it is and in big demand.

I have used mine for 2 months with no issues regarding any plates and any dies or embossing folders. Yesterday I used an old Cuttlebug plate that I’ve used numerous times and the machine stopped and I couldn’t get the plates or dies out! I wrestled with it off and on and finally forced the plate sandwich out…and ran an embossing folder through as a test to see if it was still working! Thank goodness, it seems to be okay. But I was so afraid that I’d really messed up. No more using my very old plates. I pulled out some new ones!
@LollyPalooza Жыл бұрын
oh, my! I would be scared, too! Do you think it was old plates or the fact that they were a different brand that caused the issue?
@Mary-el3pi Жыл бұрын
I have used these old plates with no issues…and you can use any brand from what I read before I bought it…I think because these were both warped, that caused the problem, and I won’t do that again! I enjoy your videos and especially the helpful hints!

I got the one from Hobby lobby and have been hesitant to open it because I didn’t really know how to go about it I guess I’ve had a cuttlebug never use electronic diecutting machine before so I’ve been hesitant for that reason just a little nervous anyways thank you for making it seem so simple and explaining it so clearly I already tried using your technique I’m flattening the plates and it was been working amazingly so that was also a great tip! Thank you thank you thank you

Awesome! Number one tip (and I meant to mention this but forgot) is to get it out of the box and start using it right away. Your warranty started the day you bought it, so if you leave it in the box for 13 months and then take it out to try it, the warranty is already expired before you try it.

Hellooooooo I learned that a framelits and thinlets differ in that the framelits are hollow in the middle or a frame it cuts the outline shape, and a thinlet has cutting on edges and interior lines so it cuts the butterfly details not just the shape

It's like when I got my first die cutting machine. It was such a pain to use and didn't produce great results, so I didn't use it. When I switched to the regular Big Shot, it changed everything for me, so I started die cutting! Maybe that would happen if you switched from the Gemini to this, but it's hard to say. If it's working for you, that's a good thing.

I won’t tell you exactly how many die cutting machines I own only that it’s over 5! I can’t seem to get rid of any! There’s the first one I bought then a second one like it in case the original broke and of course I had to have a. mini. (And don’t forget the beautiful decorative handle I bought from England because the handle on the first one broke but in the meantime figured out how to fix it.) So 2 identical machines and 3 handles. There’s the one I bought at Tuesday morning for dirt cheap because it took steel rule dies and for which I had already bought the chrome plate and a steel rule die. Then my fist full-sized electronic one followed by a Jr. because it was so darn cute. Maybe I’ll stop there but I anticipate I’ll buy the Switch in a color to match my living room where I do a lot of my crafting and another for my bedroom, gotta have pink! I thought when I retired I’d quit spending but nope! Oh and let’s not forget the Brother ScanNCut.

I just want to clarify. Do you mean can it handle multiple dies on one cutting plate? It can do as many as you can fit on there in a single layer. Or do you mean can it handle working for hours at a time, cutting a large quantity of images? I wouldn't know that, since I haven't tried.
