Odd that PC world would call Win 10 to be ended just 2 years past its initial launch in 2015. Windows 10 was to be the last OS released by MS when it did release and instead of the typical OS release and then a few years later a service pack release Win 10 was going to be updated twice a year with feature updates and MS would support 3 feature updates at a time so enterprise customers where faced with having to deploy updated releases of Win 10 at least every 18 months. Windows 11 the ultimate replacement for 10 didn't release until 2021 which again makes this 2017 date rather odd unless they where referencing the initial build Win 10 which for enterprise customers would have had an end of support timeframe of around 2017 but of course by then there where two new builds already available. The final release of Win 10 is 22H2 which as you point out runs until 2025 at which time only enterprise customers who are willing to pay out the nose for support will get continued updates. Interestingly enough there was an article published recently saying Win 10 still had a 70% market share with respect to its install base. Many of those are the Fortune 500 clients who are slow to update as they must validate internal applications that are core to its operations and manufacturing which can run vastly outdated equipment because its what the machines on the line require.
