i think a lot of people underestimate how hard it actually is to be the learner of a emergency vehicle in london. yes they may be slow and careful but look at it this way. you have your sirens on and your instructor is shouting at you over the sirens so you can hear them asking you questions about your decision making, directions where to go. you need to ensure your following rules of responding, dealing with traffic not knowing what to do or not paying attention, cyclist just all over the road and loads of traffic you need to navigate around. its not just the case of putting your blues n twos on and going you have lots of other things to deal with. So when people say their hopeless or their bad or slow id love to know how they would cope dealing with all of what i stated above.
