The irony of London Fire Brigade using Optare buses…. Least they won’t have to go far when it inevitably catches fire.

1:30 Why the police department not stop traffic on the street or streets around the building fire? Mosly the constable on patrol are faster as the fire brigades and can stopped the traffic quickly!

yer i wish the police would close the road off as well to make a safer working environment for the brigade. or the officer in chance needs to take it in his own hands and red tape the road them selfs and forget about the police

@@TheSurferboi1992 They're looking for the bucket with the medals in it as we used to say. There can be up to ten or more police there and some poor firefighter will be controlling traffic whilst the police hunt for the medal bucket.

Closing roads, can often gridlock the surrounding roads, making emergency vehicle access difficult over a larger area. Sometimes it is better to let the vehicles through and get them out of the way. As long as they are able to move, drivers mostly leave a path for emergency vehicles. Gridlocks are the real nightmare.

Yes, some notable turnout from LFB stations to Perivale. Dockhead already mentioned by you. Two pumps from Hammersmith within 7 minutes on the video (must have been edited) and a turntable from all the way from Wimbledon. Great shots, particularly from the early arrivals getting access to the premises prior to the fire taking a firm grip of the premises.

I cannot ever get over the number of sticky beaks who insist on driving into roads where Emergency Services clearly need access! Police need to do a much better job (a lot earlier) in restricting access to people who have no business in that location.

What seems to happen with these big fires, multiple fire engines are on scene, but you find only 2 or 3 do anything, the rest are just parked up around side streets, never used, seems a waste of resources to me
@Biffo126211 ай бұрын
That's why you're a keyboard firefighter. You know nothing. The biggest resource is manpower so how do you think they are going to get there; the bloody bus? When you make pumps 20 for breathing apparatus it's the men and BA sets that are in use, not the fire appliances.

People have a specific job to do, so it is not that difficult. Even those who make the tea have a vital role. Firefighters cannot work when they are dehydrated, particularly in summer, with their heavy protective gear. Sometimes the public overlook the obvious.
