While listening to Kevin in the intro I couldn't help but think of all the soldiers who have fought for this country especially in previous wars like WW1 or WW2 with horrendous battlefield wounds having to go through unimaginable pain being treated with no anesthetics with hardly any light, bombs dropping around all them, bullets flying and their life hanging in the balance, real true heroes and we forget them and their suffering.

Good at reading about the old days and I love your book because there was an injustice there. Also I understand that there was a lot of evil within that lifestyle that cannot be justified. Fuck Kevin is talkin about slashing when asked about most horrific acts in prison.. I'm from Glasgow I was seeing slashing at age of maybe 10 years old or something was 1st time seen it when I was at shops round corner slashing was everyday thing here in Glasgow in estates or we call (schemes ) easterhouse n surrounding areas like garthamlock were I'm from and (ice cream wars ) started aswell... when grew up in glasgow in 80s 90s as youngster I seen and grew up to end up participating in attacks n slashings with gang fighting then later football violence up here ..

Kevin comes across as a really nice guy, just a shame took him so long to get his aggression under "more" control. Think twice about doing bird, there are many "kevins" on every landing. Infact YO is worse , in young offenders they all want to prove themselves, continuous fighting, always on edge. Its not life you want. Not saying be a choirboy but happy medium, as you get older you will understand why. Things that matter to you changes as you grow older, money / respect is long forgotten.
