Flying to Zagreb? “I don’t believe it!” Oh, and I learned today that the lower part of an airline seat is referred to as the “bum cushion”. That’s the kind of sharp technical detail that keeps me coming back. ❤

Is about as technical as I get that. Anything more and I have to resort to reading it off Wikipedia 🤣

Looks like a decent airline and an in-flight magazine seems like a rare treat these days. Once again, a thoroughly enjoyable watch.

Cheers Tim, it was, yeh ok I guess - had worse. Just a fairly normal flight where nothing much happened ultimately.

Great trip report. What is also surprising about Croatian airlines is that they have a good domestic network to Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik and, occasionally, to the island of Brac. If you'd like to see the best of the eastern Adriatic coastline, Croatian Airlines can definitely help as other than that it is all done by road and a poor railway southwards
@LetsMakeaTrip2 жыл бұрын
Yes just as many dash-8’s as other aircraft by the looks of it. Next time I go to Croatia, I’ll head for the coast I think. Never been to that part but it looks beautiful 👍

Ha! Surely not THE Richard Wilson?! But I enjoyed your Victor Meldrew! I took Croatia Airlines pre covid for a short hop from Rome to Split in one of their Dash-8s. Agree, solid product, utilitarian but not hopeless, and as one of your other viewers said it has a great network for their Adriatic Coast. Great video as always

Thanks mate, terrible impression though I’ve been told 🤣 (I’m not great at impressions)! If I’d had more time there, I may have tried their Dash-8’s - lots more of Croatia to Explore I think, especially the coast 👍

Croatia Airlines will be ordering six new Airbus A220 aircraft. The aircraft deliveries will be made over the next four years through to 2026.
@LetsMakeaTrip2 жыл бұрын
Yep, I was talking about that in the video, it seemed to me like they are replacing the whole fleet but thought they’d be keeping the domestic dash-8’s (not sure tbh).

I can live with rough and ready providing it is reflected in the price,well you got there in the end and that is all that matters. Thanks for the video and take care, cheers.

Hi Simon, yeh it was fine and a little different to the same old BA stuff tbh. I certainly wasn’t put off using them again and I’ll look forward to their A220’s in a few years. Cheers mate 😊👍

antimacassar - learnt a new word! Those a320s are a bit old but work well. Looks like a respectable little airplane!

Hi tgp, yep it was all pretty normal tbf, a non-eventful trip once we'd got going. Tbh, I should have had another couple of bottles of wine!

Great video! Just out of interest, going back to coach trips, there was a coach from Edinburgh to Plymouth. I did it about three years ago. Took about 15 hours. I'm sure National Express still do it.
@LetsMakeaTrip2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, if you can find it, let me know. The coaches I’ve seen go via London where you need to change unfortunately. I would be interested to know what the longest continuous journey by coach is in the U.K.
@markandrew84612 жыл бұрын
@@LetsMakeaTrip Hi, yes I've had a look and that journey doesn't seem to be on the National Express timetable any more. Mind you it was about 2 years ago I made the trip. That's a real shame as it would have been great to see you do it. It took around 15 hours. Departing Edinburgh at 10.30 pm One hell of a coach trip. I will.have a look too and see if I can find any more.

@@markandrew8461 yep cheers Mark, let me know what you find. Manchester - Paris is one I’ve looked at which is about 14 hours but of course that finishes up outside the UK.

Seems a fair flight, strange that they weren't trying to flog you booze, Ryanair would have been forcing you to. I wouldn't have liked arriving that late, I hope you made up for it the next day
@LetsMakeaTrip2 жыл бұрын
Haha yep, Ryanair would’ve been all over that - especially with it being so late, be like ‘drink on the plane, all the bars will be closed by the time you get there’! I must admit, I had a lie-in the next day 🤣

When the aircracft on s stand looses lights for a sec. , it is because the pilots are shwitching power from a ground power unit (GPU) to auxillary power unit (APU). Something like own power plant... I hope I said it wright..

Really loving your travel videos but was a little disappointed at the end of this one you brought in your own brexit views regarding queuing through passport control which I thought was a shame 🤔
@brunoboj2494 Жыл бұрын
So, you had an overall good trip with them as you say, yet you still go on to disgrade them as much as possible by using words as "tiny" (?) Croatia Airliens, one-and-only old A320, even though brand new Airbuses are on the way... I didn't like your video.

Thanks for your opinion. I don’t agree with it but you’re perfectly entitled to voice it.
