Welcome to the ultimate London travel vlog, where we embark on an adventure across one of the world's most vibrant and historic cities. With a mix of historical insights, cultural hotspots, and modern-day marvels, we guarantee this journey will leave you enchanted, enlightened, and maybe even a bit exhausted (in the best way possible). So, lace up your walking shoes, grab your Oyster card, and let's dive into the heart of London!*
*Tip:* Before you arrive in London, consider buying an eSIM. It's a convenient way to stay connected without the hassle of swapping physical SIM cards. Companies like Airalo or Holafly offer eSIMs that you can activate before you even land. But our favorite has been the Orange Holiday E sim
*Day 1: Historical Marvels and Bustling Streets*
*British Museum:
Our adventure begins at the iconic British Museum, a treasure trove of human history, art, and culture. Arrive early to avoid the crowds and give yourself plenty of time to explore the vast collections. From the Rosetta Stone to the Elgin Marbles, the museum is home to some of the most significant artifacts in the world. We spent a few hours here but easily it could take the day if you read everything that they have to offer. For a bit of fun, play a game of "spot the weirdest artifact" with your travel companions, or our kids favorite, make up a story for the mummies and voices for the statues.
*Covent Garden:
After soaking up some history, take a leisurely stroll to Covent Garden, just a 15-minute walk from the British Museum. Covent Garden is a bustling hub of shops, cafes, and street performers. Grab a coffee at Monmouth Coffee Company and watch the world go by from the famous Piazza. All of the vendors here take cards. Covent Garden was once a fruit and vegetable market. Today, it's a place where you can buy artisanal goods, enjoy live music, and even catch an impromptu opera performance.
*Leicester Square:
Next, head over to Leicester Square, the epicenter of London's entertainment scene. Known for its theaters and cinemas, this square is where many European film premieres take place. Walk the same red carpets as your favorite stars and maybe even catch a glimpse of one if you're lucky. You can go to the TKS booth in the morning for day of tickets or even get a show ticket when its released at midnight on their website which is how we scored our Wicked tickets
If you're a movie buff, consider visiting the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, one of the most famous cinemas in the world. For those who prefer a quieter experience, the Leicester Square Gardens offer a peaceful respite amidst the hustle and bustle. Tons of restaurants surround the square but be sure to have a reservation if you are there on a weekend.
China Town: A Culinary Adventure
End your day in London's China Town, located just a stone's throw from Soho. The neon signs and bustling streets transport you to another world, filled with the aromas of authentic Chinese cuisine.
**Day 2
*Natural History Museum:
Start your second day at the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. This architectural marvel houses an impressive collection of specimens, from dinosaur skeletons to gemstones. The museum's iconic Diplodocus skeleton, affectionately known as Dippy, greets you in the entrance hall. Unless, like us, you take the side entry to avoid summer lines. Then Dippy will tell you goodbye as you exit.
*Walking to Harrods:
After exploring the wonders of the natural world, take a leisurely walk to Harrods, London's most famous department store. The walk itself is a treat, as you'll pass through the picturesque streets of South Kensington and Knightsbridge.
Harrods is a shopper's paradise, with everything from luxury fashion to gourmet food. Even if you don't plan on buying anything, the Food Halls are worth a visit.
*Hyde Park
Next, head to Hyde Park, one of London's largest and beautiful parks. Whether you want to take a paddleboat out on the Serpentine Lake, visit the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, or simply relax on the grass, Hyde Park offers a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bus
*Buckingham Palace:
No trip to London is complete without a visit to Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch. Time your visit to catch the Changing of the Guard ceremony, a display of British pageantry that attracts crowds from around the world. If you are coming for the guards with the tall hats, however, we have bad news. With the inauguration of the king, the hats have changed.
*Trafalgar Square
Conclude your day at Trafalgar Square, a bustling public square known for its iconic Nelson's Column and the National Gallery. The square is often filled with street performers and events, making it a lively spot to end your London adventure.
*Cashless Convenience:* London is moving towards being a cashless city, so make sure to bring a contactless payment method.

This is a really interesting video. A few months ago we went to London with a 5 and a 13 year old and I wasn't sure if they'd enjoy it but they loved it. The 5 year old in particular keeps asking to go back.

Check out borough market for lots of different foods. The further north you go the cheaper things become and more friendly people become and the better the fish and chips are because your closer to the sea you are

You say "stollen from other countries" I say "to the victor go the spoils", very little of what you see in the British museum would be around today if GB had not liberated it, all the wars and turmoil that had been resolved under British rule have re-erupted, look at the countries that accepted British democracy, British laws, the English language etc,.such as the USA,.Australia, Canada, all very stable countries because of British rule

As someone from the very south of England London I never get to see like actual in depth exploration by American tourists no offence but very often I see American tourists just mocking the accent or touching the guards and or their horse so nice also just a lil tip I believe it’s Lego as the plural of Lego confirmed but the company I THINK don’t hold me in that
