For a long time now I have secretly hoped Charles be the next president of the united states (although I suspect he wouldn't be remotely interested). Really looking forward to this interview! Thanks for putting it on.

This was a formidable interview- one of the best and most thoughtful exchanges with Charles I've heard. Thank you so much

Thank you Maitreyabandhu and Charles, you're doing a great job articulating these essential and eternal truths in a way which makes sense in the context of our world today (or mine anyway). Really helping me find a truer path.

Hi I am so happy this conversation, bringing two worlds together for me having followed Charles work for over 5 years and learned meditation at the LBC 10 years ago and been involved in Triratna community since. Interestingly something very important also came up for me on the day the talk is been released and want to check if it's going to be recorded and available afterwards. Thank you for creating this special opportunity which I already feel is having a real positive effect (at least on me:)

1:21:08 “You know that you are here to serve life”; May this thought abound & may we share the wisdom of this dialogue that I find drips through through the process of “Keep Coming Back”.

#Nourishment is what this #CharlesEisenstein & #PoetryEast facilitator (Maitreyabandhu) dialogue gave to me & offers to those ever out of touch with the gift of life, the appreciation of others, #OurLostChild (1:08:37) & how even #CivilisationWideHumiliation can lead to a #LifeAffirmingHumility.

At 43:55 we begin a section on Why people #GoForRefuge to #BuddhistPolitics (as understood by members of #TriratnaBuddhistCommunity); to gain a sense of identity & belonging; symptoms of a breakdown in collective identity and #NeedForMeaning; a core section for my forthcoming book, “The #MythOfTheHeartlessTory”

For a person born and then placed in an orphanage where they were physically, sexualy and mentally abused in their formative years. How are they to live their adult lives "living in the gift" or to feel gratitude for their life?

Most poignant for me is the section going into the topic of humility/humiliation that starts after showing the consequences of our “anti” positions with reference to Orwell’s 1984 at 35:17; my personal journey in relation to this section is at twitter.com/paulcrosland/status/1386973148889899013?s=21
