It's amazing that they can stand there with so many people invading ones personal space. I realize that being an American, we have a wide space. Mine is well, 4 ft is close enough thank you. Adding that heat in that uniform and the weight of it WOW! For over and above comtests in scouts, winner got a batch of homemade brownies or dessert of his choice. I'd have baked him 2 .

The uniforms are absolutely beautiful but I’m sure they must be hot especially with that metal breastplate and metal helmet. I think I’ve only seen the Blues and Royals stand out front or at the end of the tunnel. I’ve never seen the Lifeguards do it. Is there a reason for it or just simply being different

It's only the gatesman who stands at the front , the chitsman never leaves the arches . So far only the Blues and Royals gatesman have chosen to stand for a long time , not the Lifeguards . Their choice to do it , maybe a private bet on how long they can stand there for 😁
