Solo wild camping on the South Downs. Could there be a better place so near to London??? Gigantic craggy chalk cliffs and an ancient undulating trail along England's south coast. This was a much-needed time out from city life. Do I escape the incoming storm though?!? Thanks for watching 🙂

Nice, invigorating sea air. I'd have taken that longer stroll in the dark, suits my vampire DNA. Had my first foray to the South Downs this time two years ago; just a rushed one-nighter lashed by wind and rain, lovely!

I think invigorating is a good word to describe experiences on the Downs! Haha! Thanks for watching Khakoo. Hope all is well. 👍

I couldn't imagine living in the or any city, especially when you have a love for the outdoors. Personally I'd have taken the scenic (if dark) route over the Downs, but then I am bonkers. Lovely views and a great edit.

Wow those drone shots of the stunning white cliffs and the sea below are pretty epic! Nice work Ben!😊👌. This looked like a very enjoyable camp, we totally get the need to escape city life when things get hectic. Getting away and out in nature just hits the reset button for us too😊👍. Glad you dodged the storm, just in the nick of time too! Great video as always, thanks for taking us along. Have a great week ahead, Shell and Pete

nice one Ben and again some good sensible decision making. I’ve been running in the wet on chalk tracks around Avebury and it’s like ice. Dying to get out again soon too. I was looking to see if i could train from Plymouth to Lake District but cost if I want to arrive in daylight goes from £200-£350 return! If they are trying to encourage public transport it ain’t working. It’s cheaper to drive (and quicker) and you then also have a car at the other end. (Oops, rambled off topic there, but maybe a podcast on travelling cost & environment impact to wild camp? 🧐)

I agree on the lack of camping options. The only choice I think is to either do what I did and camp behind a bush or pitch very late near the SDW trail and leave very early. Thanks for watching Andy.

It's good to camp on the coast and the chalk cliffs look tremendous Ben.. I don't mind Adventure Foods pasta bol', though never had the S to S one (which is odd as S to S are one of my favourite dehydrated makes). I tried a new make the other day and it was pretty grim...Trek 'n' Eat' chicken with curried rice.....one to avoid🤢. ATB, Chris
