@@TechnoRocka The Qur’an actually mentions “Salāt” (prayer/worship) countless times throughout the Qur’an. That is why it’s such an important notion. Yet the notion of “believing in the 12 imāms” is itself not even mentioned ONCE in the entirety of the Qur’an, despite twelver Shi’a claiming that belief in the imāms is close to (or even on par with) performing the Salāt. If that is not strange and suspicious, then I don’t know what is. Follow God’s word, my brother, not man-made ancestral tradition. Be forewarned. The Day of Judgement is coming soon.

Usul fiqh applies to ahkam and aqaid. The term usul fiqh is new 3rd century hijri, but the 'ilm and concepts are present from the time of sahabah. Usul fiqh is basically how to understand the Quran and sunnah. When Muhammad Hijab said usul fiqh does not apply to akhbar, what he is referring to is only one specific topic of usul fiqh that does not apply, ie An-Naskh (Abrogation).

I like this Londoniyaah thing that you guys have done. I've been actually wanting to be a part of discussions like this, though in an audience's capacity only. This is only the 2nd video, of this series, that I've watched, and I intend to watch most of them, Insha Allah, since there are some mouth watering topics up on the list. Regarding this particular video, I think I'm a bit disappointed... The team could have done much better, considering their level of knowledge, which of course seems to be much higher than an average student. You could have covered more related topics, like the development of their theology, etc. You guys were lost in "details" most of the time, though I suppose brother Hijab does this intentionally since this is like "Dawaah Training" session, and stuff...

So he brought him a basket of fresh dates, so he took some fresh and ate it and extracted the kernel from his mouth and planted it in the ground (4). So he struck with his hand to the navel of a nutmeg and split it, extracted a white parchment from it, broke it (6) and handed it to me and said: Read it, I recited it, and there were two lines in it. The Book of God on the day He created the heavens and the earth, four of which prohibited that valuable religion: the Commander of the Faithful Ali Bin Abi Talib, Al Hassan Bin Ali, Al Hussein Bin Ali, Ali Bin Al Hussein, Muhammad Bin Ali, Jaafar Bin Muhammad, Musa Bin Jaafar, Ali Bin Musa, Muhammad Bin Ali, Ali bin Muhammad, Al-Hasan bin Ali, the successor, the argument.” Then he said, peace be upon him: O David, do you know when this was written in this? i'm a born shia, i lost my faith, became agnostic, then atheist, and finally i'm back to being Muslim. There a lot of problems I've had with shia beliefs, one of them being the story of how Fatima past away, I never accepted it and still don't. for me the main conclusion is that hadith books shouldn't be used to understand the Quran, there are waaay too many problematic hadith in both sunni and shia books, and this is only natural considering our history. we should understand the Quran and then try to understand the hadith. regarding all the problems you've brought up, this is a never ending debate and can't be resolved. we just can't verify a lot of what has happened in history. but we can unite on knowing our Allah is one, and his last messenger was Muhammad pbuh. Judgement only belongs to God and He will inform us of our differences. there is no need to fight and argue with each other, our real enemy is shaitan and the satanists running this world.

This discussion had a lot of dishonest arguments. Mohammad Hijab knew, but he opened the floor for his friends to speak unchecked. It ruined a good discussion when he allowed dishonest statements to be made willingly. Some of the arguments or beliefs of the Shia mentioned here were completely ridiculous and fabricated, Hijab who normally would stick to the truth has decided to give a free pass for clear fabrications to be spread. He might have matured more as a person and become wiser as he's grown older. I know this video is old, But this video needs to be re made where they discuss only true hadith. Some of the scholars say this falls under the mistake of attributing sayings to the Prophet which he did not say, sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam. So it is clearly a dangerous thing. Learn all the letters and vowel marks of the hadith and also learn the necessary grammar so you don't attribute bad grammar to the Prophet.
