0:00-0:10 you can see in the window reflection, the dockhead appliance standing outside to be ready to respond to an actual shout, dockhead was still a working station as they filmed London's Burning so they had the appliance outside as they were filming in the station.

You see it move away as well in the reflection of the right appliance as you come into the bay, you can also see the crew and real LFB and the scaffold poles for their lighting grid - quite revealing when slowed down but accepted in edit as it's not that long on screen and at the time there was no intention to re-run/release the episodes to slow them down/replay them!

Those were/are flow controlled alarms, literally no electrics involved, powered by flowing water in the system, so that alarm CAN be :)

School bus 707 A television series, yes. The main series ( 1-14) was broadcast every Autumn usually in the run up to Christmas on ITV from 1988 to 2002 when it was axed. The pilot movie was broadcast in 1986. Written and created by Jack Rosenthal ( late husband of actress Maureen Lipman), he did his research by staying at a lot of London Firestations as an observer and things like them having nicknames and eccentric firefighters were true. In fact two characters in the series, Bert “ Sicknote” Quigley played by Richard Walsh and Leslie “ Charisma” Appleby were both based upon a firefighter he had met at one of the stations. It was filmed in and around the London areas, often in the winter months, they used a real working Station based in Southwark called Dockhead Fire Station, which actually closed down a number of years ago and recently it was reopened. It was made for the once ITV network by one of the former franchises, LWT ( London Weekend Television ).

It was a television programme called London’s Burning that was broadcast in the UK on ITV between 1988 and 2002 with a total of 14 seasons ( the last season was shite ), they used Kerosene flashers and gas jets and controlled fires, with advisors off camera on how to use equipment and real firefighters there off camera in case a real fire started. The flashover was done with two stunt doubles of Ross Boatman ( Kevin Medhurst- the one that calls Kate a bitch at the end) and Rupert Baker ( Malcolm Cross), the main actors only do the close up shots.

F1 Takers Kate was actually a good firefighter, she just couldn’t concentrate on this shout due to finding out she was pregnant and her mind was on that, she didn’t even tell Nick about her “ predicament”, only her flat mates knew about it and she had booked an abortion, she ended up losing it after a big shout at a rave party caused teenagers to trample on her as they were rescued. She started dating the father, a police officer from Wimbledon who she had met at a party after a major pile up on the motorway had traumatised her a bit and she needed the company. She transferred to Wimbledon to be near him. Sam Beckinsale has been acting for some years and comes an acting family, her father is the late Alan Beckinsale and her half sister is Kate Beckinsale.
