We have lots of rattlesnakes here in So Cal. I was quite close to one a couple of months ago, didn't even see him at 1st, but saw him in time. But yeah, glad you weren't bitten, and glad you caught it on film. I don't go into the mountains much in the summer these days. My dogs are small and old, too many snakes and everything is so dry, we keep having fires. People are bit by rattlesnakes here a lot!! they just appear, I've got a few stories, good thing they're survival stories!!
