Words are very few that could express how much I love and admire this Marine Corps brother. He is guts personnified to perform such an act with an injury. I believe he is his own major award, and that is his way of respecting and honoring both the dead warriors, and the Rolling Thunder bikers. I believe he would back me up that a Medal of Honor, Silver Star, or Navy Cross would not be appropriate. If you research (play), the videos on You Tube for Medal of Honor winners, you will understand

Yes it is an amazing feat. Since you have never served in the military, you can't comprehend it at all. It is hard enough to not only stand at attention for that amount of time, but to salute for hours, with a broken wrist, is extremely difficult. This man is showing his respect - something many of us didn't receive when we served. I remember serving during Vietnam & was spit on, had rotten food thrown on me - all by American citizens like you, who have no respect for our Armed forces.

Definition of a soldier: An active, loyal, or militant follower of an organization... a : one engaged in military service and especially in the army (does not mean only in the army) b : an enlisted man or woman c : a skilled warrior 2: a militant leader, follower, or worker. And, yes folks ... Marines also fit this definition. Deepest appreciation to ALL military personnel.

No words can be said, that would adequately describe this Staff Sergeants fortitude... We spend too much time and money honoring the numb nuts that are our Hollywood Stars, and with few exceptions, couldn't hold a candle for this man to read by.... They are rich by accident and then tell us how to live and who to vote for.. Our young people need to wake up before our Government destrys anything we have left to be thankful for.... Totally Agree Angel. I served in the WACS during Vietnam. It was a different time then when we were spat upon, had rotten food thrown on us & called 'baby killers'. It didn't' matter whether we served in 'Nam or not - some people just like to show hatred to those of us who were willing to serve. They don't understand it's not a 9-5 job .. you are on call 24/7 & that is why today not all can make the cut for military life.
