@@austinellsi9211 Bro you need to look in to the actual facts. Their bodies were apparently found with their magazines topped off - indicating they weren’t fighting. They were also shot in the back pretty good - indicating they were running for their lives. All the training in the world doesn’t change the fact that you are human. To sit here and to say they weren’t scared is absolutely ridiculous. You need a good dose of reality. I honor our boys serving, but I’m not a child and I understand the real world for what it is. Quit with that fantasy glorification shit. Those boys were slaughtered in some place they probably didn’t give a shit about far away from family and friends and they were more than likely terrified. It’s ugly but true. We are all men and we all die the same.

@@PolaOpposite I read everything you wrote. However, disagree on one thing. The war was not senseless, not because YOU don’t understand it doesn’t mean it was for NOTHING. The war was waged on Afghan in an effort to LAUNDER MONEY, TRILLIONS of dollars using their territory as well as ARMS DEALS under the disguise of “war”. It is incredible when you think of the allocation of TRILLIONS of dollars spent on “war” from a country that should be “first world”. America was built on destroying lives. Think on that. Trillions and Trillions of dollars and arms to Afghan. This is not a story but facts. If anyone asks launder for what reason, research drugs and Afghan all the large banks in the states cannot account for the cash they have.🙄 Further, what better way to continue ensuring the circulation of the “dollar”🧐

It's entertaining for sure. But other than that, it's a hard no--that's total Hollywood BS! Those pilots know damn well how to bring troops into a hot zone. And it's their responsibility to land so that teams can do their mission, not get shot at to drop dead right from the get go. Plus it shows that "old pistol boy" didn't have the situational awareness that it was too dangerous to land. That part of the scene was disappointing in that it didn't represent the SEALs in a positive light.

And after all this he was being betrayed by marcus Lutrell cause of telling the accurate story about the incident to Media.. Gotta agree with you on this. Ever time I saw Lutrell I felt like this mother fucker largely spun this story in his favor. I don't believe for one minute he was the voice of reason. Wahlberg played the character as any good actor would. If Lutrell played himself nobody would of bought into his story and would of done more to seek out the truth. I watched other Navy seals give interviews and their is a dramatic difference. Lutrell is full of shit in his interviews, and even acting.

The best part about this is all the bullshit Marcus told the word. The Afghan that saved his life said Marcus promised him the world. Money , freedom , a house. The only time he contacted him was when the movie came out. Strictly for PR. After the movie he didn’t return any of his calls. That should tell you a lot. Also, there were only about 20 enemy combatants.
@Nativusdes
@Nativusdes 2 жыл бұрын
Let's say there only were 20 combatants. They knew the area, they had motivation, and they were still 20 against 4 guys. These are still regular guys, not actual killing machines. Special Ops aren't even suppose to fight. Anyone who's done some military service knows that even if there were 20, they'd feel like a lot more. And once again, they (talis) were familiar with the terrain, which is the biggest factor here without a doubt. So don't you dare to shit on these guys, the fact that even one of them survived against "20" is incredible considering the circumstances
@Nativusdes
@Nativusdes 2 жыл бұрын
@@larrygill2223 I understood your main point was him lying. But I feel like you underestimated the consequences in battle for a RECON unit, which is what they were. Seals, jaegers, rangers (what ever elite/special unit you'd like) are primarily recon units. They can fight, but they're not suppose to. Recon and special missions (take the UBL mission for an example). My main point was that these guys are men, even if they can aim their weapon faster and more accurately they still don't win wars. Numbers and logistics do. I just didn't like the "Also, there were only about 20 enemy combatants" part. The "Marcus is lying" part I want no part of. And I didn't say anything about him not lying? And keyboard warrior part is just cringe, this is a discussion. Such things are needed
@larrygill2223
@larrygill2223 2 жыл бұрын
@@Nativusdes ok ok. Fair enough. You are 100% correct RECON units are not meant to fight. I thought you meant as a whole. I get what your saying, yes…. They can seriously throw down but their missions are more detailed. Not direct force combat like the regs are. Clearly I did not read or understand. I go by what the evidence states. If people from both sides (Afghan amd American) are saying the same thing about the story and he’s saying something else. I’ll question the guy telling the story. For example, off topic. They discovered that the great pyramids of Egypt were in fact built over 10k years ago. At first I thought BS. But then they actually carbon dated it and there is hard proof of that it was indeed built approx 12k years ago. So now I’ll question it. (Amd I’m talking about the 3 pyramids, they carbon dated all of the smaller ones and they were indeed built by the Egyptians) Anyways, I apologize for the keyboard warrior part. You are right and this is a discussion.

Worst part is, the soldier who went down was still alive, you can see the video move slightly before he got blasted. Don't they remember that the Afghans are well trained in shooting down helicopters from the days they were fighting the Soviets? The media and the government like to portray the SEALs as some kind of SPARTAN supersoldiers, but the more I learn about them the more they appear to me as anything but. I hate to be that guy, but they arent soldiers. Soldiers are in the Army. SEALS are (obviously) Navy. That said, the Navy lacks the infantry minded culture that the Army has. So SEALs, for example, are incredibly disadvantaged because they're brought up without having infantry roots whatsoever, as opposed to many individuals that are Rangers or SF. Personally I believe this contributes to the clumsiness of the SEALs. Also the media exposure, of course.
