Those who are naïve do not understand the complexities of conflict and war. War is an ugly thing. Something to be avoided if possible but something to be prepared for and strong enough to face if unavoidable. It doesn't matter who starts it the only thing that matters is who is willing do the extreme things necessary to be standing at the end of it. Good people are lost with the bad and honor is a matter of perspective. If we are honest we know that the only way to possibly survive a savage life and death conflict is to become that which we loath and sort out what's right in the aftermath. In the heat of battle, anything less will get you killed, in fact anything less costs more lives, loses the battle and most certainly the war.

He had to leave all behind and hide in another country. USA has still not granted refugee/asylum status to him despite reports to the contrary.
