This is nothing. Great video, but this is just the coast from Vlora to Saranda,,.. The north and its Alps are stunning. Gjirokastra, Berat and Butrint are UNESCO world heritage sites. Korca,Shkodra, Pogradec, Kruja are classic. Then you have so many castles, rivers,lakes. Do much beauty culture and amazing food in such a small area.

Yes, I was born in Albania but after being 17 years away from my country (I lived during the years Albania was in anarchy) and finally visiting again, I can say without a shadow of doubt that Albania is very safe for tourists. I was ignorant myself before going there, thinking it is not safe to visit (this is largely due to many Albanian immigrants talking down to their own country out of ignorance). Everywhere that I went, people were friendly and welcoming. I would not recommend to live there due to the economy, but as a tourist, you can enjoy Albania safely and for cheap. I do have to say though, tickets are expensive due to there being only one airport in Albania. I have heard talk about a second airport on the way, but I do not know much of it.

Too bad Albania lost ionia and that southern coast to the ottomans and later the Greeks Otherwise it would be even more beautiful. How is Korfus in Albanian territory but belongs to Greece now ? Talk about dirty politics and BS. I guess Turkey and Bulgaria/macedonia/ stole a lot of land from the Greeks also but yeah. That whole reaction UNITED in the illyrian/hellenic times was something special before the Turks & the slavs ruined everything.

@@uneti463 don't forget that there are still Albanian people that have been waiting forever to get back to a house and a mother that they will never see. They were thrown away with force and violence from their houses like that word that still goes on Camet. Don't forget bc they have not forgotten that there is no Greek identify without Albanian blood. Greeks are the ones that need to recognize Albanian identity and not say to Albania like we don't recognize their Greek identity. Their Orthodox Church isn't hated in Albania bc the Albanian people still have much respect for their priests.
