Thanks for the update, for the engine guard plate it will be useful to have a hole to have a direct access to the oil drain bolt without the need to remove the whole engine guard.

Thank you for all the hard work. I really like how transparent you as a company are and how you actually work with the consumers to develop these products. Wish you some great christmas holidays.

The bar with the rubber stopper is ingenious! Let the forces when the bike falls go through that rubber piece and get absorbed, not through the secured points as Much. Just Brilliant!

Thanks for the video and all of these details shared. I’m looking forward for the top box. I just wonder if we can attach fuel jerican (5L) to the Molly attach at both the right and left side of the top box ? It would be great to have this possibility without making holes inside of the top box.

Looking forward to these products being available for sale to end users; great products with a lot of thought behind them. I'd like to say, please don't make the engine bars stick out too far - I appreciate you want them to absorb impact, but they also need to not make the bike too wide ! Good luck with your continued development. Great work. 👍

Noted thanks. They will be as compact as possible.

Awesome, loving the look of what is to come! Those crash bars look at work of art, and the top box looks incredible. One thing for me was the mention of the top box liner - I’m unclear on what form this is to take. Is it going to be similar to the motobag design - ie another removable bag which we can take in/out of the top box and leave the actual box on the bike? Personally, I use my top box for all my filming kit but I wouldn’t want to have to take the whole box on/off the bike all the time 👍

Really liked the rackless Motobags for the 1250 GS as the bike is better looking without a rack when the bags aren't needed and wondered whether similar for the 1300 GS will be considered in the future

Interesting crash bars solution and geometry. A long, unsupported arm will call some vibrations, so make sure you stay away from the resonance frequency of the bike. For sure, you will need some thread glue to keep the oryginal 3 attachments points locked in case if there are no self locking threads created by BMW. In terms of top case do you run any fatigue calculations for bottom surface where mushroom heads attachments installed are Do you check as well FWD HIC test of the top case?

what size/thickness of stainless tubing did you decide to go with?
@piotrkucia44994 ай бұрын
Hi there! Let me ask two questions, why you did not decide to introduce symmetric rack panniers for 1300gs that will allow to install two 38l bags? Rack that been introduced is quite wide. Why the topcase plate cannot be installed to the floting plate on 1300gs and instead requires the floting plate to be removed?

@LONERIDERMoto would you consider making a Garmin XT/XT2 mount for the GPS prep mount? They’re are a few options I’m just not a huge fan of them. Would love an option with a more finished look (not 3D printed).

Any idea on Timeline on these Crashbars. Getting my GS soon and I'd like to fit these to my bike, but don't want to go unprotected if it's going to be a year out.

I wish you'd spend 1/4 of the time you do on BMW and make a rackless system for the Pan America.

Hey @lonerider seeing as you have a bike with the radar fitted, how are the blindspot warning lights in the mirrors connected? Is it just a LED with a simple cable or is there complicated circuitry inside the mirrors as well? The reason I'm asking is because many of us might want to replace them with more durable mirrors but still have the blindspot warning working in some way.
@LONERIDERMoto11 ай бұрын
You can, but I do not recommend it. It will push the weight limit to high and make the bike ride unstable. Best to keep it as low as possible. Same goes with a full tool set. Heavy low, light high.

Jeez you guys must be the biggest BMW fanboys on the planet.I see even the Africa Twin on your rear rack sheet is called BMW Africa Twin haha I'm sure you guys must have like a weekly gathering in the company where you just share your love for the GS😂 More seriously though super impressed how you guys are designing a rear plate for the design of each bike. Really impressive stuff. So glad you provided a update in the top box now. You guys were so quiet for so long that I thought the new BMW products are taking all your attention and won't see the top box soon so sadly already bought a rear rack and was just about to buy a top box. Now at least I know it's close but will probably have to sell the rack I just bought 😢 Cant wait to see the lights actually reviewed and tested. I would be keen to pick them up. Really hope your version of EZCan has bluetooth to connect to with. Its 2023 after all. Ot at least USBC jeez. Its seriously time to drop old MicroUSB

Good catch, will update my sheets. Don't worry, we will be on other bikes too soon. ;) Yer, I will be setting up the assembly of the MotoCase in a few weeks, super happy with the result. Shipping the large first, and then the small a month later. Bluetooth and an app is needed, but our version of the ezCAN will be the same but with some extra software features as the MotoLight is using LIN technologies and has a lot more options than what's currently on the market.

chamfer sizes?

@LONERIDERMoto Hi yes, when you look into your part production dwg for base plate you do have 3 different sizes of edge chamfer for all cutouts. This is represented by 3 different colors on the production drawing.
