I know there were a number of composers who could have scored 'Lonesome Dove' well. Bruce Broughtan springs to mind immediately. Poledouris was a great choice and really delivered a moving and perfectly judged score.

Isn't it amazing that Basil Poledouris, whom I presume was born and raised in Greece, could hit the American nail on the head so squarely when he composed the wonderful Lonesome Dove music? What a talent.
