God! This song and the memory of it! Sandi was a friend of my friend Nathan. I never met her for the longest time. Basically my friend Nathan introduced me to her because she had a lot of strange hobbies like I did that absolutely NO ONE else had! Main thing was my tarantula and iguana. Me and her would stay up and talk all night on AOL instant message. (Anyone remember that lol) but eventually she came over to my house (I was 17 so still lived at home) but oh my God! She was soo beautiful 😍 she was also smart as hell, loved country music, and I was just smitten with her! I didn't know she had a b/f though until probably 10 months into our friendship. I had no idea what her b/f deal was. She was getting to the point she was at my house damn near 24/7. I should of just stopped everything but I just couldn't (damnit! Tearing up now!) She would come over and just want to snuggle. Saying she felt so alone and just wanted human contact. She would just put her head on my chest, listening to my heartbeat and she would just fall asleep while I had my arms wrapped around her and then would sleep and sleep because I believe she felt safe with me. Just listening to my heartbeat It's just a really really beautiful thing (After she had woken up, she would just be so happy and I lived to see her smile). But her b/f was still lingering around. They were together 5 years I think but it was so obvious he wasn't giving her the right kind of attention or the right amount of it. Her dad passed away and she really had no one. I went with her to the funeral, being a pallbearer. She nor her family had much money, so me and my dad helped her out a little. Her so called bf didn't go! Her dad and sister was about all she had as far as family to confide in. No one has any idea how much it hurt me to see her just falling apart. We went to see Dawn of the Dead (remake) went to Spencer gifts at the mall. First time she smiled in weeks, and I will never forget that. I don't know if her b/f read her Myspace (when it was popular) or if they just had a long talk or what happened. But he proposed to her and wanted to make it work. I got a phone call from her, in absolute tears, saying how good of a friend I was but probably be better if we didn't talk anymore. My heart just sank. My chest hurt so bad, but if that is what she wanted to do that, I understand. I don't know how I was able to spit out the words "do what makes you happy" saying goodbye to her, and almost passed out. Damn, 13 years later and still think about her everyday. Hope she made it work with her bf John. (Hell! Teary eyed again) I think she was my soul mate. Hope she is at least happy. THANK YOU all for reading this.

No need to pity me I do enough of that myself lol. They are coming to Pittman Nj on August 26th for $40 but I don't think I will fit in the place with my walker it's big or if I van handle the crowd. Does anyone know what the Hollywood hall or Broadway hall in Pittman is like? I wonder if there are many of us fans in Nj? I don't even know if any of my grown kids would come with me? I am in love with the lead singer - as he looks in video. He's still handsome though and must be my age does anyone know how old the crowd would be?
