Eeek I’m so excited to see that you got yours! I’m still waiting and check for shipping all the time. I knew it had the matte finish and I was hoping it would good and I think it does. The only other matte finish I have are winter rain sailor and my pilot vanishing point.

Hello Charmaine! I ordered mine from her too! I hope I love it! Please when you do a video about your Sailor pen, show the ones that have the champagne gold finish and the ones that have the yellow gold finish! FYI…. Shinny materials show more the scratches than matte finishes.

I love it but like you I was thrown off at first by both the weight of the pen and the matte texture which I didn’t realize it was matte until it was in my hands lol. But I still love it and Platinum is easily becoming one of my favorite pen brands after my beloved Sailor!❤🎉😊

I love Color Traveler inks! They're so expensive though haha! I thought they only came with standard inks!! Didn't know they had shimmers, too! From the Vanness website, all color traveler inks are so well behaving (normal properties). I LOVE that you chose that color, since it's more of a grey tan (beige) and it's FANTASTIC!! I am expecting to put Kobe's Milk Chocolate into my Chai Latte xD it's more brown than your beige ink, so it will more complement than match like yours did. I CANNOT GET OVER THE ROSE GOLD TRIMS on this Chai Latte!!!!! ♥

Lol! I am watching the video and thinking your writing is so beautiful and then you say “I’m writing so terribly!”😂 I also have a pot of ink with my pen and didn’t use it as I wasn’t sure I had to mix it even though I also checked I can use as is or mix with another ink. It is mixable but you can use it unmixed. I’m not that experienced to mix inks 😛 Beautiful pen and great video 🙏🏽

Char, girl please!!! I can't watch this!! (As I am peeling my eyes open to watch) I NEED MINE NOW!!! XD So happy for you and for Yumiko getting it for you. The only other matte Platinum Century pen I know is the Nagasawa Original - SILHOUETTE. But that one is a charcoal grey with ivory body, so I thought I wouldn't love it. But I'm happy to see that this one is matte as I expected, but I've seen some photos where the grip section looks lacquered and not matte like the cap. Is the body matte like the cap? I cannot tell since it's white and the lighting is very bright hahaha!! One of my friends noted that this pen feels very light and cheap compared to their other Century 3776s, which is exactly what you noticed here, too! I wonder why the shape of hearts are cheaper feeling...the Japan exclusives look much more substantial when you put them next to each other. I think the resin is definitely different and the lacquered finishes make the pen feel heavier! I had the Imperial Black Sailor Pro Gear before I sold it, and it was matte. I compared it with our lovely Kubozakura (which is lacquered finish) and Kubozakura felt heavier and more substantial! I think it's just the matte finish making it feel lighter/cheaper in comparison, but I cannot wait to feel it for myself!!! Thank you for sharing yours, Charmaine!

Have you ever had any issues with ink coming through customs from the Japan With Love site (or any Japanese seller)? I unfortunately missed all the pre-orders and really want to get this pen (I have been obsessively refreshing all the retailer sites every day for the second wave! 😅). I would hate to order it and then end up with issues getting it through customs because of the ink. I think some folks had that issue with their hobonichi orders last year.

I have the black shape of hearts and the clip and band in the cap are turning dark! I have like 6 platinum’s and I also have the Hatsu-Yuki and now I am worried that one is going to start turning also! I hope not!
