I lived on Atlantic and 61st 11years nextto da two way inn n then it became the church. Across the street from watt was the atlantic blvd motel. Long Beach had alot of opportunities to help me and my kids. Free assistance and programs available for free if you looked. Even right there at Houghton park kids could be in sports at no cI st except the cost of a t shirt to wear at games. The coaches there were good with the kids. Also they had that community bike shop right there at the park. kids could vollenteer their time fixing other kids bikes and accumulate hours and if their bike had a flat or needed fixing they could use sum of those hours they earned for the parts and to get their bike fixed. Or their siblings. wattever. Id go with my kids every Saturday when they were young. Those were just the opportunities available at Houghton. Because of these things available and so much more , Long Beach is a great place to help you when ur raising kids.
